It's really weird that you ask such a question.

Of course you don't get a refund, why would you?

When you break the ToS/EULA badly enough, you're out.

Every company handles it that way.

You're not ever entitled to a refund. Nowhere.

my thought was that i pay for the right to use to server to play, if i am no longer allowed to why should i pay for that time

why not give it a try and see what happens, and lol a lawsuit? who would go to court for like $100, you pay for the right to use the server as long as you follow the rules, break the rules and those rights are stripped

You do not pay for a right to play.
You pay for a service.
There's no rights involved.

If you fail the contract, service is terminated.
The fact that you paid in advance for a full year does not change anything about you breaking the contract.

It's the same with every game/company out there.

you know if you get caught cheating on xbox live then they actually block the whole xbox deeming it useless for any online activity. no refunds no nothing just a useless xbox

Actually, I got a refund when CCP mistakenly charged me VAT. So no, not nowhere, just not in the OP's particular hypothetical example Big smile

I would hope that if one were to sub by the year, that one would also be able to learn the rules both written and unwritten, and know where, when and how to bend or skirt them in order to not get banned.

getting a permaban seems like something that is very hard to do, and if you get one you probably deserved it. I doubt you get a refund but talk to legal or whatever.
