Need a lot more info to help you.

What WINE version? Are you using "playonlinux"? What error messages are being thrown?

Please help us help you.

I'm having similar problems as the OP. I'm using Play on Mac (OSX host), and I've tried wine 1.6.2, 1.7.55 (my default), and 1.8-rc3-staging.

Every time, the repair.exe program will open up but tell me "Errors occurred" and say "See the logfile ...in a path...". The logfile always has this output in it.

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "repair.py", line 286, in
File "repairTool\repairUI.pyo", line 133, in __init__
File "repairTool\repairUI.pyo", line 79, in __init__

File "repairTool\progressPanel.pyo", line 167, in __init__
File "repairTool\progressPanel.pyo", line 187, in __SetUpButtons
File "wx\_core.pyo", line 10129, in SetFocus
wx._core.PyAssertionError: C++ assertion "hWnd" failed at ..\..\src\msw\window.cpp(562) in wxWindow::SetFocus(): can't set focus to invalid window

Is there an obvious fix to that?

Bleh, must have been something I installed. I tried a new wine prefix and it worked fine. Sorry for the noise.
