Well, I've jumped out of the Kiddie Pool and into Null Sec by joining a Corp.

It seems my game progress will seriously slow down as I am aclimated to the real game by my Corp Mates. In the mean time, I'm seeing a Combat Tactic called "Corkswrewing" when approaching an nme.

Since Eve has no Twitch controls, how is this accomplished?

Thanks in advance!

Do we...even talk about null sec in this forum?

Should it be Missions and Complexes forum on general principle? Shocked

Visualize a cork screw as your trajectory. Many call it spiraling. If you set your camera to center on your target, when you ' track ' him/her, you can click 15 degrees around them. The wider the better your traversal. You keep clicking around them to make sure your ship will more or less close in on your target eventually while avoiding a direct approach. This is intended for turret nme's, as missiles don't quite care what direction you are pointing.

Congrats for making it from the Kiddie Pool to a bath tub with 5cm of water in it.

What helps is adding angular velocity to the overview ...
... which is shown in the same units as your turret's tracking.

That ringing in your ears you're experiencing right now is the last gasping breathe of a dying inner ear as it got thoroughly PULVERISED by the point roaring over your head at supersonic speeds. - Tippia

I think your referring to "spiraling ". There are some intructional vids on it - so YouTube it and enjoy. Then again, corkscrewing could be something altogether different.
