Hi,
is there no way to make the game brighter? That is very difficult to read textes, because all the game is very dark and the background is dark, all is dark. Is it not possible to make a very bright template? where people can normal read textes black text white background?
That cant be so difficult.

You should not forget, that eve is a"animated" browsergame with much reading and i think if you have to read a book that has a black background and not a white font.... then you would get eye cancer.
make please template, that is easy to read for people that do not play the whole day pc games that are
accustomed to dark atmosphere...
you should think to the old ...


Please think about this, and i have read that i am not alone who has these problemes with eve

do you mean contrast enhancement for text ? (I don't see how brightness help readability)

I found 2 settings I use almost always now :
in General Settings I set the transparency to 0
and I use the Dark Matter Theme

this is black on black UI and pure white text, best contrast and ease of read for my eyes

if you like transparency you can uncheck windows blur, it may look sharper

finally : UI Scalling 110%, in display, it makes thing a bit bigger.


but your point being black background is eye cancer, I would say the exact opposite. being on a screen all day, coding and reading, and working, the worst thing you could to my eyes is a white background, too bright. light comes from the sun, the windows or the fluorescent lamp, no need to get more lumens from thousand of leds in front of my eyes
(this is of cours a personal opinion I'm sharing :D)

A suggestion you could suggest on the suggestion forum is to have an "inverted" / "negative" theme, where text is black and background is white. this is not in the settings, yet is could be a color blind/accessibility option like available on some OS
not sure is feasable but I don't see why it should not be possible.

If you are a Stationtrader, then its for me difficult to read all the numbers, because there is ALWAYS a dark background.
Why CCP do not make that it is possible to customize his own colours for background etc?
Or the should make a Trade template, where the background is white like in office... or excel. EVE is an animated excel

and agreed, we called that excel online before m$ made it a real thing. (using excel or google docs in IGB makes it new level of online gaming :) )
