i been looking all over the galactic web about how this feature works but i still dont understand. what i want to know is can the ship gather grime and dirt when it's out on duty or does it have to be sat in station for months and on that note how long roughly does it take to get from 0 - 100% dirt.

thanks

having read the blog, it sounds like ships will accumulate dirt for as long as it's unpackaged.

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it WILL be.

From what I read, a ship will accumulate dirt from being used, and will accumulate rust from sitting in the hangar. Incidentally, Minmatar ships become more agile when shot at, and their armor and hull hit points increase while sitting idle.

I thought rust/dirt was the same thing.

ps. I found the clean ship button, it is in the fitting window in the SKIN side pane.

I'm sure they accumulate over the same amount of time and behave in the same manner.

I'm still trying to find my kill marks on my Stratios :(

My ships don't last long enough to get dirty. Sad

dirt works like anything else in eve, you wait

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Minmatar characters get an inherent +5 to Dirt/Grime Accumulation as well as -5 to Rust Prevention.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Be careful, if you "clean" a Minmatar ship...

This Thrasher may look really spiffy right now, but it's just not quite the same as when I bought the Cyclone in the first place.

I've read the blogs and somewhere it said they get dirty over time in hangar but the use of the ship doing fights, mining or whatever accelerates the dirtying process.

Now concerning killing marks I made a final blow yesterday with drake and I dont see any mark. Where should I look?

What did you say about CODE?

I think they're bugged - I came across this thread because I'm searching for a discussion about it because I've had an Algos not get a kill mark, and two kill marks which were showing on a cruiser have disappeared (I haven't cleaned or repackaged either of them).

*Edits* I was wondering if there's a setting to turn kill marks off like you can with drones and turrets/launchers etc that I might have accidentally clicked, but if there is, I haven't found it yet.

*Edits again* So now I've found out where two of the kill marks have gone......on the ScyFI at least, the marks are under a launcher hardpoint - with turret and bay effects on, the launcher obscures the kill marks and with turret and bay effects off I can see the kill marks - if it's the same with your drake, you may see the kill marks if you deselect "Turrets & Launchers" in your Display & Graphics settings tab.
