Undock & shoot player ships.

- fit a scram kite frigate. MWD, scram, web, T2 short range weapons with T2 long range ammo, small armor rep, DC, damage mod
- get 20 of these ships and move them close to a 0.0 area with a reasonably quiet entrance
- drop into an implantless clone, set home station where your ships are
- right click your "keep at range" button and set it to 7000m
- right click your "orbit" button, set it to 1000m

Grab a ship and go into 0.0

- if you see a frigate that isn't missile or drone based you go for it and once you get into scram range you hit "keep at range". Overheat your weapons and see what happens

-if you see a frigate that is missile based rush in close and hit "orbit", switch to short range ammo as you move in. Overheat your weapons and see what happens

Rinse, repeat.

If I were in your situation I would most definitely do this.

This usually does the trick.

Look up Agony Unleashed and in particular a pilot called Greygal in-game. They have regular newbro fleets that are open to the public and they provide the ships for free too. A perfect, no risk way for you to grab your first kill. In general, these types of open fleets are a great way to get your feet wet in PvP.

I find the easiest way to lose your killmail virginity is to just do it in highsec. Find a cheap ship that you can fly, a destroyer will do nicely, then head to one of the major trading routes (Amarr-Jita, Dodixie-Hek, etc) that has a lot of traffic, and sit on a gate. When you see someone using autopilot in a weak ship that you can kill in a couple of shots, lock him up and gank him.

You'll lose your ship to the police of course, and take a minor standings hit, but the fun is in maximising damage output while keeping the cost of the ships you lose at a minimum. Have an alt? Leave it in system to pick up any loot you and your targets drop. Start by ganking a pod, then a shuttle, then work your way up to t1 frigs, and then further if you like.

If you enjoy that, maybe you'll enjoy shooting someone in low/null who will shoot back at you? Who knows, you can do anything you want in this game, its up to you.

If you aren't trolling, as the ISD said above, look up Greygal ingame, join the mailing list in her bio. There is a newbro roam this coming weekend, all instructions are in the mailing list. Nothing else required than you bring yourself along.

Sit in a class 1 wormhole and wait. Someone is bound to bring a mining barge in there eventually.

Nah, their gameplay is boring.

They never undock unless a target is called ...
... and they never stay outside when they have GCC.

CODE is literally the worst choice when you want to learn ganking ...
... or have any interest in actually playing an outlaw in highsec.

Thanks for the ideas guys, I really appreciate it.

Being a family man I can't devote a great deal of time and concentration BUT I shall get my first kill.

God help me...but I will.

This is fantastic timing.

Good luck, OP! PvP is a lot of fun and for many of us the reason that we log in every day. You might find yourself bit by the PvP bug and if so, you'll be asking us where to find more one day soon ;)

1) Make an alt
2) Blow up his noob ship with your main.
3) Link your KB in C&P and brag about what a pirate you are like the rest of the kool kidz that post there.

was probably over a year before i got on my first kill mail... took 3 years to get my first solo kill.

my advice: just keep trying.

if you just want to get on a killboard then jump into an NPSI fleet. they are usually just a bunch of random pilots getting together to kill anything they can find.

A year you say?
Noobships can be T2 fitted now.
Fit one up, challenge noobships at starter systems.
Absolutely wreck them, get the PVP bug, never look back.
NPC null cyno frigates are also a gateway to PVP.
Get out of hisec.
