Sad. :(

It's your browser. It works fine, it's a video gif.

No. It moves me to the removed.png ... in two browsers.
It's more likely YOUR browser using a cached variant.

Check. :P

You were right, fixed.

Hey CCP, read this thread. THIS is why you don't give people free stuff (because when you do, they come to expect more free stuff).

That's one way to look at it.

We're talking about a business relationship, not family. My company gives free tickets to sporting and cultural events to customers as a way to thank them for their business and to encourage more business in the future. If we started giving them tickets to the local college play instead I'd expect an impact on the relationship.

The company my wife works for takes customer's and their spouses on ski trips, NYC Broadway weekends, and invites them to their 30,000 acre hunting lodge for the week.

So the other way to look at it is the virtual gifts CCP gives us have the opportunity to create a tremendous amount of goodwill at almost no cost.

What does any of the above have to do with you asking game developers for more free video game stuff?

Not only that, but why does he compare himself to people several magnitudes above his own net worth?
He smells like a cold hearted dork delusional about his own relevance.

We should give him antimatter.

?? I own my company, and sales trips are in my wife's job description.

Since no one else seems interested in spurring CCP to give a lustworthy gift this year, I'll go watch "It's a Wonderful Life" and work on my Holiday spirit.

I love the scene where Stewart gets drunk and bangs his car into a tree -- so the cop tells him to drive home and sleep it off.

Looks like it was 12/18/2015 for the free multi-character training. In 2104 the Leopard was the special mystery gift that was unveiled on 12/24 I believe.

Operation Frostline sounds like great gameplay, but considering it a gift is like throwing some toys on the floor at a Shelter and saying -- "Fight for them ... Sorry there's not enough for everybody".

Just saying.

P.S. Maybe it's the half of the Season's Greetings devblog dedicated to sales of arum, plex and reactivations that put me in a bah-humbug mood. Ugh

not enough for everybody?

Could not have said it better!!!

Civil discourse is uniquely human. After all, when is the last time a pride of lions and a herd of water buffalo negotiated SOV over a watering hole? Never. Someone either gets their ass kicked or eaten. At the end of the day someone holds SOV.

Nitpicking.

Actually we are celebrating the winter solstice and not anything related to christ/jesus,
who was born in june/juli/august. They've chosen to put it to this date to ease the transition for pagans,
who - like millions of people for thousands of years - worshipped the only god with actual base in real life.

Wait, that's where the Leopards came from? I've been playing since 2012, how come I never got a Leopard?

Been in the back of my mind for a long time, wondering where those things came from. Never cared enough to actually post to the forums and ask, because there's so many things anymore where I don't know where they come from...

The Leopard was 2013 Christmas with the Yule Lads and redeeming involved logging in and claiming the gift in account management and then redeeming in game.

Maybe you just didn't claim them.

Or you were on the naughty list.

They're currently selling for 100 million ISK each. O.o

The former is highly likely. The first time I remember seeing "redeemable items" on the launcher was for getting festival launchers and that SOCT battlecruiser. But I remember thinking then, "how long has that [notification at bottom of screen] been there?". Perhaps it's just me, but that notification was easy to miss and I don't know how long I missed it before finally redeeming that BC, so it's entirely possible I missed it before. That would suck, as I tend to hoarde all my gifts, and I would have enjoyed a Leopard - and their current asking price is precisely why I don't get one. I was appalled when they were 20 mil apiece, certainly not now. They're just space pixels, I'll do without.

As for the naughty list, maybe now, but not back then. Blink

I got a leopard, so it can't be the naughty list.

The most interesting thing about this thread is that apparently people hate free things. It would make an Economics PHD give up on life. When something costs zero to you, you should demand infinite amounts of it. Do not be irrational actors.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?
