No, it's not. It's a bonus cosmetic item that just happens to be offered with that particular plex package and furthermore if you're not the kind of customer who buys bulk plex for cash then you're not the target audience of this scheme.

So in other words if you're not prepared to pay the cash or contract for isk then you have nothing to worry about.

This isn't p2w. Noones feelings should be getting hurt. Worst case scenario someone buys 28plex valued at 28bil and then gets a skin they peddle for 28bil to double their money.

As above if you aren't interested in the wager then you have really got very little ground for complaint. This isn't golden ammo, it's a functionally worthless cosmetic just like you monocle. ;-)

how do you know not many will spend to buy 28 plex? new players buy characters, people buy supers etc etc 28 plex is probably purchased quite often

Because not everyone has a couple hundred bucks to spend on a game or even if they can they don't out of principle, its too much for what you get in return?

Because SKINs are awesome but literally all of them are too expensive to make sense?

The most expensive one should be 10mil not 10bil (special ones, for instance Tournament Prices excepted of course).

But a normal skin for a normal frig or cruiser should be a few mil. Creating a system that asks more than that is a bit silly in a game where 80% of the players play 80% of their time in space too far zoomed out to see their own SKIN anyways.

Or make much cheaper 'single' use ones, I barely lose a ship anyways. A single use one will last me a long time.

Regardless its all opinion anyways I'd just like CCP to confirm what the intend is with this particular SKIN set. If its intended to be this expensive/exclusive

If SKINs are so expensive why aren't you farming them?

CCP don't have to justify what the market sells SKINs for. Where did you arrive at the conclusion that you were entitled to an explanation for something they don't directly supply?

No it's more that we're lolling at people who ARE the target demographic and the fact that CCP even put a promotion on it.

Well I gave an opinion that's all. And you're free to argue against that.

That said making an argument that has some relation to facts would be nice.

CCP is the ONLY supplier of SKINs and therefore I think its not that odd for me to nicely ask what their intend with this SKIN is. Since they are the ONLY ones that can answer that question.

And I wouldn't be surprised if you never receive that answer. I'll give you a hint:

Because people will pay for it.

Like any luxury good, there will be a buyer somewhere, some time.

Oh and I should mention that reverse-redeeming plex to buy aurum is a thing and that you can buy plex via isk so technically farming skins is a feasible thing no?

I know a couple of gentlemen inside PL with 250bil+ each and multiple super/titan toons.

These people can surely afford the SKINs you mention, however if they're not actively flying them or even buying them what does that tell you?
