idea: make the quality of your damage hits audible / eve hitsounds

in pvp and pve in eve i like to have a small tab open with the log and messages window on combat settings, that shows me how well i place my turret hits, if my bombs hit what i aimed for etc. and esp. important if my turrets miss anything i want to kill.

so thats a text update i try to keep an eye on but when the fight gets real intense this is one of the informations i tend to overlook in favor of other stuff. and i guess im not alone with this in new eden.

thus my idea is quite basic and has been applied to other games effectively in the past.

MAKE THE QUALITY OF YOUR HITS AUDIBLE

eve has a great sound going and i really dig the never audio effects like the warp sounds etc. so i feel it should be possible do some kind of sound to indicate the quality of your hits. (maybe use 4 categories "miss, glance, hit, penetrates" with some subtle sounds that blend well into the existing eve soundscape).

a flavour could be different sounds for different weapon systems and/or combine it with the existing turret firing sound effects.

this would add some nice functionality and strenghten to the combat feel of eve sounds

what do you guys think?

I want to be able to hear my turrets when zoomed out to 400km first.

For posting an idea into F&I: come up with idea, try and think how people could abuse this, try to fix your idea - loop the process until you can't see how it could be abused, then post to the forums to let us figure out how to abuse it..... If your idea can be abused, it [u]WILL[/u] be.
