SUGGESTION FOR MULTI-LAUNCH
- Allow us to set a "target" monitor for each account in the launcher settings (or even in game). I run all of my clients in window mode that is essentially FS window allowing me to tab in and out or have browser windows open.
- I always make sure to have certain accounts on one monitor, and other accounts on another monitor. It has to do with screen real-estate and which are more of logistics toons.
- One pain in the ass that still exists when launching multiple accounts at once is making sure I drag each window to the proper monitor when I start playing. I haven't yet found a way for EVE to "remember" which monitor I like to run the game, and I doubt even if I did it would be able to remember which preference I had specific to each account.

I might have missed the point in your post, but is there a reason why you prefer 'Window mode' over 'Fixed Window' mode?
With Fixed window mode you are able to allocate a profile to a particular monitor. The downside is that it also contains all the rest of your settings. Monitor selection is done in the Display & Graphics => Display Adapter. I just changed mine to 'Window mode' and here I see, as you state, that you are unable to use the monitor choice; even though it is selected correctly.

When I do fixed window mode, it does not allow me to quickly drag an EVE client from one monitor to another. I am aware of the ability to go into the actual windows display settings and mess around in there, but windows Display & Graphics settings are unable to differentiate one EVE client from another (it treats eve.exe as if they are all the same), at least it did the last time I checked.

The nature of my work also warrants minimizing a client here and there to access programs/windows that are 'behind' or 'in front of' one of my eve clients on a monitor. Window mode allows me to easily do that. Fixed window mode does not allow this as easily as I'd want from when I've tried.

I've started getting nothing but a blank black screen when trying to use the beta launcher. Worked fine on Friday when I got on Solace for a bit

The new launcher looks really great. I miss the old launcher's three or four news stories on the side though. Will that be added in the future?

The launcher still does not recognize active clients after a launcher restart.

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

Launcher should be monitoring network status, becouse if you're not connected to the internet and you launch it and then connect, it won't check for version info so you have to reboot it

Small nitpick about "Network diagnostics" tool.
Looks like it uses standard command line output for ping, tracert, but fails to handle non-latin code pages (I guess in my case it's CP866 or something else with Cyrillic)

Thanks for pointing this out. I've got a Russian sitting next to me, I'll have him help me test this :)

Good point, I've meaning to look into this. I actually get this on my laptop at home sometimes, if the launcher tries to refresh after coming back from sleeping before the WiFi connects.

The external links for Account and Support are not working.
The Server-Status seems incorrect too (for example: it shows online during the downtine)

These both should be fixed with GUI 1.732.

Thanks!

After the today's patch the beta launcher not able to start my client any more :(

I got an error say some files are missing or corrupted.:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/n7ghfhff421ifo6/EVE-Beata-launcher-error.jpg

However the repair tool do not found any error.
Moreover I'm able to start a client by the old installer or directly as well.

Update:
If I just delete that file, it is recreated on launcher restart - but still "corrupt"

The new launcher should remember, for each server, what profile I select for each account. If I add Account1 and select from the little gear box the "Account1 Char1" profile, then it should remember this for next launcher run.

As it is now, if I add a second account, it auto selects the first profile in the list (which happens to belong to a character from the first account).

I'm still getting an blank black screen when trying to use the beta launcher. I reinstalled it after my post on the 6th and it worked until today and I'm now getting either a blank black screen or blank white screen

I am no longer able to use the launcher post patch today.

It complains SharedCache\tq\bin\staticdata\mapObjects.db is corrupted but the original launcher is able to start EVE just fine.

I tried deleting that file, the launcher appears to recreate it and it fails again. Old launcher has no issue.

It does not work on Windows XP. This was a bad surprise, you did not mention minimum system requirements.

Could you look in %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore, see if there are any files there? Specifically under CCP - if there are any files there, delete them and restart the launcher.

Please let me know if you find any files there, and if this helps.
