December release - Issues thread

The December release has been deployed on December 8 during an extended downtime.

This release introduces 13 completely new ships together with the revolutionary Micro Jump Field Generator, amazing new visual (damage) effects, new falloff range mechanics for remote repair modules and energy neuts/nos, a massive increase in grid size from 250 km to 8000 km, a huge amount of module rebalances, PVP killmarks on ship hulls, and so much more. Alongside those new features we see the emergence of Operation Frostline, the cluster wide storyline event promising profitable loot and a good amount of spaceship action. Check out the Operation Frostline dev blog!

Known issues (Dec 8)

General

• URLs longer than 6 characters are oddly formatted in chat channels
• Letter key shortcuts do not function correctly when certain windows are active
• The Logistics Frigate skill book is not correctly seeded
• Blueprints for Ice Mining Laser I, Guidance Disruptor I, and Guidance Disruptor script are not correctly seeded
• Courier contracts can sometimes not be accepted. Workaround: Open your cargo and then try again. If that doesn't work, change your ship and then try again.


Modules

• Some Guidance Disruptors have "I" at the end of their names which shouldn't be there.
• Guidance Disruptors show as 'Nameless' and are missing a buff bar icon for pilots affected by the module.
• Station Component Blueprints are using the wrong data and require “Generic Fuel Blocks” as build requirements that are not available on TQ. It is currently not possible to use these blueprints for manufacturing.
• Energy Neutralizers/Nosferatus can sometimes remain active after their target leaves system.


New Players and Missions

• The Advanced Military Mission “A Friend in Need (4 of 10)” cannot be completed as the remote repair modules do not trigger the mission complete flag any more.


Scanning, D-scan, Solar System map, Beta map

• Ctrl-F9 with beta map/SSM fullscreen causes black screen
• Swapping ships after scanning does not clear scan result
• Offset interface with Camera setting not followed by new Solar System map rotation
• Excessively long bookmark names are truncated
• Beta map crashes if a route of more than 350 jumps is optimized
• Probe scanner filters only filter groups once signal strength is high enough


Workarounds

• Sell orders for the following missing types are available in Jita, Amarr, Dodixie, and Rens:
- - Logistics Frigate skill book
- - Blueprints for Guidance Disruptor I, and Guidance Disruptor script
• Sell orders for the following missing type are available in 4C-B7X:
- - Blueprints for Ice Mining Laser I

Hmmm, the new camera checkbox and the gamma slider are missing. Or the were not implemented?

When jumping wormholes, it no longer plays the jump animation AT ALL, just suddenly switches to the destination system.

No animation, no sound, just screen switching.

when undocking, the camera doesnt remember the view you had when you docked eg. im zoomed completely out but everytime i undock its zoomed me back in.

The new Logistic frigates are requiring logistic skill to fly, the skill book is not seeded. Is this intentional?

I expect to get this post deleted or locked. So much for freedom of expression.

The brightness slider is on a button called 'Brightness' in the 'Display and Graphics' tab in the ESC menu.

Opt in new camera was pushed till roughly the 15th.

Hi,

yes, the Logistic Frig skillbooks are not seeded.

Are the Micro Jump Field Generator BPOs are also not seeded correctly? Cant find them in the hole Region of Domain!

Regardless of how the camera is away from the ship I still hear the sound of strip miners/ice harvesters. Feature?

Might want to keep that as a portable feature for the people who get ill at the animation.

same with uncloaking when zoomed out, sound is loud.

You have changed the depth of field on the old (current) camera. Sneaky. I assume to make the depth of field pixelation issue less noticable on the new cameras when they are released.. cause players will compare the new camera with the old (current) camera..

Please put it back the way it was...

Dont do smokes and mirrors please. Let features stand on their own merit.

FYI - for those who arent aware the new cameras on Singularity have significant blurred pixelation issues due to the extreme depth of field being applied.

my map is turned over? drone null is now to the left on the map (old map), pressing "unflatten" then "flatten map" fix it, but confusing and annoying when i open the map 50 time/day

The huge grid allow you to spot a POS where it's probably not supposed to be spotted.
