It's on sisi, I would expect/hope that changes on Sisi get mentioned in a dev blog, test server info or anything the like just as other game companies do. I could understand it if it's something they want to keep quiet about in regards to balancing or because of market speculation. This however is none of those.

So far there is nothing in any patch notes. The name change is only on SiSi and CCP have never published devblogs for everything they test on SiSi. Not everything on SiSi ends up coming to TQ.

If the name change occurs today, then I'd agree it should be in the patch notes, but there's no need for CCP to justify to us why they make every minor little change.

Let's see post-DT.

CCP can do better than "ship tree".

Remove standings and insurance.

Interbus Ship Identification System is a pretty dumb name, nothing else is named like that.
Assets, wallet, industry, notepad, character sheet, everything else is just called what it is rather than having a long lore based name.

I'd have probably called it ship database or something, ship tree sort of implies improvement or progression, but it's not a big deal.

Well.. while that seems like a well thought out post Scipio CCP has a nasty habit of ignoring these forums. Mostly for format reasons honestly but ignoring is ignoring. (hey I'm a goon though.. We prefer reddit and our own homes more than here anyway)

Thank you for clearing that up. I personally no longer have an issue with the name change. It's poorly timed certainty but as long as it isn't some kneejerk response to social events I wont wind up the old fart brigade.

I have a hard time imagining economic prosperity under the leadership of a group that runs around beheading people for whatever reason. To be honest ISIS reminds me of a tiny lowsec group who runs their little pocket and thinks they're all that, but the big boys in null (west + Russia) have just been letting them carry on as they like so far. There is no contest in power though, the lowsec group would be crushed under the combined power of nullsec.

Sad state of affairs when you alter names in the sake of PC. Will we no longer be able to use the name "SISI" as a reference for Singularity? It is after all ISIS spelled backwards. Think I will break out the old phonograph and play my Ozzie Osbourne albums backwards to listen to the satanic messages lol

If CCP is indeed changing this to make this a more user friendly system (new player) then they need to clearly define it's intended function. It does match skill mastery with ships... doesn't it?

The question was asked and responded to by Falcon on Reddit 24 days ago.

It was asked here just after 3 am yesterday morning Falcon's time and his Reddit response was posted by 10am. When do you want Falcon to respond? Is he supposed to be awake 24/7 just to answer questions in the forum.

It's not like anyone here showed any interest until the change was about to happen.
