OK, just went through half dozen pages distributing likes. Gotta remember to keep up with this thread.

On another topic I just got a message from my boss today, seems he has another QC job lined up for me up north near San Francisco. Job starts Dec 28 and is scheduled for 6 to 8 weeks. First 2 weeks will be 40 hrs per week and the next 6 weeks will be 7 12's per week. That means Overtime and Doubletime pay. Job also pays $100 a day Per Diem so I'll definitely be stockpiling my paychecks.

Course right now it's just talk. I learned a long time ago that nothing is guaranteed in this business. Job can still be canceled even after you get your badge.

Anyway, just gotta hope for the best and expect the worst, right ?

I can't believe it, I am speechless, this is... they not only renewed the subscription for the Focks, oh, no they also renewed a second subscription... ISHTANCHUK's instead of YIOLE's!!

I don't know WTF I'm going to do with 3 months on the Focks, but Jesusbledingchrist! Ishtanchuk has been cancelled for two months, and yet they renew Ish instead of Yiole???

Thanks guys.

I still have a fat wallet from the last job I worked which was 7 weeks in October / November. Basically I'm sitting on 15 Grand right now. I'm also eligible for Unemployment Insurance payments but I don't want to collect that right now, makes me lazy and I need to save that for when work get's scarce.

Course I can always go back on my tools (Industrial Pipefitter) and take a travel job through my Union if needed.

Gotta say it's definitely good to have options available.

First night in our new place for my daughter and I last night.

Wake up in the morning, cook breakfast, sit out on the deck to enjoy the serenity while gazing up at the mountain above; listening to the sound of the rivulet rushing by, kookaburras in the trees and wallabies hopping around the yard. Wave and a chat to the new neighbors who all seem lovely and very outgoing.

I think we'll be quite happy here. Big smile
