Warping to gate comes up 30-100km short when using "Jump"

I keep randomly coming up 30-100km short of gates when I'm flying from place to place, and I think I've finally figured out how to reproduce it.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem, or could try to reproduce it.

I believe you need to run multiple clients in Window mode. Click on a distant gate on the overview, and select "Jump", to initiate a warp to that gate. Normally the ship should warp right to the gate and jump through it. As soon as you release the mouse button when selecting "Jump", click on the other client, as fast as possible. It seems like the faster you're able to switch to another client, the further from the gate you'll end up, and the more likely it is that this glitch will occur.

I've seen it come up 100km, 70km, 50km, 30km short, and other times it warps right to the gate, but ship does not jump through. I just had it happen to me in a frigate in Tama, when I warped to the highsec gate. I've had it happen in a freighter in Uedama. This glitch sucks, please fix it before it happens when I'm in a jump freighter jumping from lowsec to highsec or something.

asking for fix here... it's pretty useless you know! (this is like help channel in game, player help)

this glitch is strange and permanent? use F12 in game and open a ticket, they will answer you, some times it taks a few hours, some times a few days

but you can try to help yourself
- ESC, Reset Settings, Clear all cache files, exit and relog.

- in the eve folder, locate a small app called RESCACHE, close game and launcher, and run RESCACHE as administrator

these 2 actions will ensure you have a clean game, clean cache and all is working well, but there is a bug somewhere.

oh, by the way, are you sure you are not setting the "default warp to distance" with radial menu? (you are using the jump function, so it should not interfere, but ... random bug is random
try using different method, D on the keyboard, jump from the overview with radial, jump from focus windows, jump from right clic, space and overview... etc... damn too many possibilities. do all of them fail?
