Rumor: Spacemonkey's Alliance to leave Imperium, join TLF

While somewhat surprised by the rumor despite the recent grumbling against Goon leadership, I can't say I'm disappointed. Another strong alliance that will help keep the Matari/Amarr warzone firmly in the hands of the TLF? Welcome news, given the setbacks the CalMil keep suffering. We'll endure and overcome, though.

However, given previous... interactions between Goons and the Minmatar Militia, I have to wonder how much of the rumored move is economically motivated, rather than politically.

If they are infact coming to our side, no complaints here. Hopefully they will be a welcome addition to our fleets and actually get a financial reward they deserve. Having another structured group joining us can only be a good thing, as long as politics and egos take a back seat...

Unfortunately, having spoken with one of the SMA higher-ups, this is not true. I kinda wish it was. Not that I want to be rid of SMA, mind you - Ivory Kantenu is one of my best guys. Still, there's technically nothing preventing the Imperium alliances from signing up for FW activities.

That said, I know at least one person in the Amarr/Minmatar conflict zone who's specifically said they don't want large null entities taking an interest in the fighting, even on their side, so... clearly, opinions are mixed.

Perhaps you should try to source your information from more trustworthy places next time. Ones where blatant and obvious disinformation isn't dropped like bombs on a battleship fleet.

My sides hurt. Would Neph like to buy a jump bridge in Deklein?

Well, I did say it was a rumor.

My apologies for the misinformation.

No apologies necessary for my part. Really, I was thinking it might be Komo Sunder and a number of ex-SMA guys - and they still might be, who knows? But if your source was Nezd? Yeaaaah, he's not, you know, a solid source.

Nothing in my mailbox suggests that this is a thing. Not that I wouldn't mind flying with the good people of the TLF again.

I would find it more amusing if SMA went Gallente and fought BNI, would make me wonder about the rewards of null security space.

They're already fighting BNI, as part of the effort that saw Brave sacrifice over 200 Griffins in the last few days in attempts to slow us down.

Maybe they could go to the faction war zones and get good!

Never not badpost.
