Just an idea

Create a new Region accesible only while in pod via specal story gate or hole that only allows pod travel.

In this region have all things needed to start fresh ie NPC market with bpc's and basic civilian ship mods. Thoughs players wanting to escape the Null Sec bullies would go there and of course null sec'rs could also travel in their pod and play on an even playing field starting with a simple rookie ship. This would allow fresh faces into null. Eventually the gate would open allowing normal ship travel into New eden possibly a jump gate built by peeps on the other side. Untill the gate is built it would be secluded from the massive material advantages of new edens current empires trully allowing a new indy experince.

This sounds like a great way to expand null sec with out it being insta blobbed by big corps leveling a TITANic advantage?

Discuss don't flame or troll it please.

What will happen is that it gets insta-blobbed by large corporation that use their co-operation to gain a titanic advantage.

So the first people in there would build up into bigger ships to then blob any new people that come in until it is opened up where the old blobs and the new blobs blob together for Blobageddon: The Final Blobbening until a victor is announced?

This.

I think you underestimate just how much cooperation occurs in 0.0. When an announcement goes out saying "we're doing an organized operation at 1800 ET" you get hundreds of people showing up regardless of whether it's 9 PM or 3 AM for them. That alone would secure this proposed region for large nullsec alliances.

Tiberius. You're blobbering.

Paradise is like where you are right now, only much, much better.

Yeah but they will be in rookie ships, starting from the very bottom of eve. So 500 noobs v 500 vets is going to be down skill rather than time served and titans collected meaning a newly formed 500 high sec allince could very well fight and hold against the 500 man null sec'rs.

'I know many null sec'rs now don't know how to fight with out dropping massive caps onto the field or using huge material advantage and the idea of a level playing field might scare them a tad but heh?'

Ok that's a troll

but why not it seems a fair way to introduce new regions rather than opening the titan gate and if big allinces are organised of course they will still take it but it gives the pubies a fighting chance.

Better to be blobbering than slobbering.

Had this idea, but CCP would probably put it in hisec.

Edit: the gate, not the idea.

No. It'll be 500 vets vs 1 n00b, 500 times. Or, rather, 300 vets vs. 1 n00b, 500 times (while the other 200 are kick-starting the industry to get those first 300 into better and better ships and equipment — a support backbone that the n00bs will never be able to attain while under constant and increasingly well-equipped attack).

Because the same thing will happen regardless: the organised will stomp all over the disorganised, and numbers will provide the main advantage.

I bet it does. Goonswarm would like it particularly since they have experience with noobship blobs.
