This is the perfect fit for blitzing L2/L3 missions, I have found. Compared to the more commonly recommended MSE fit, I have found this fitting actually exposes a player to different, equal risk levels. (I've lost one of each, for different mistakes)

What you can do is almost immediately get to the key targets, then pop them with your 262 rocket DPS. This has the advantage of AF's MWD sig bloom reduction, and with that MWD, get very quickly into your 12km range for taking out web/scram ships. Otherwise, you have a shield booster you can depend on to keep you alive for at least a little while. If you fly right, you will almost never go below 75% shields.

I haven't taken this fit against any scanning sites, but no doubt this would be an excellent way to farm escalations, especially when there are specific triggers. It will warp and apply damage faster and with more options than most other ships. The results are closely comparable to a Worm, just far less expensive. I have taken the MSE Hawk and Worm against Sleepers, and I would have to admit that this fitting on the Hawk would not be able to compete with the Worm on that front.

What inspired me to do this fit was my disappointment over using the MSE Hawk, which makes such poor use of the ship's bonuses. It's nice to do something with the Hawk in PvE that doesn't just look like a rocket Worm with a little pittly small shield booster.

I know you think your ship blitzes missions faster than this set-up, but I have my doubts. I will actually quantify my claim with an update soon. As in, tell me what your times are and we can compare size. Ship size.

For Lv 3's i can certainly think of ships that will do them faster... For Lv2's... there are T3D's...

Infact the Jackdaw outperforms the hawk in every way...

use a worm

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

A small shield extender does almost nothing, I would recommend fitting nearly anything else in that slot. the rest of it sounds okay. I agree with the suboptimal comments, but do what you want to do and all.

Yes, I just got gotten in lowsec and have changed my standing grinding strategy since. I have used a Worm for hunting clone tags in a pvp fit before, and I have to wonder if it would work for missions as well. Give pirates something a little harder to handle. Part of what makes Eve fun is the huge number of options that players get to accomplish the same things, really.

The Strategic Destroyer comment is very true. I knew they were awesome, but I didn't know they were that awesome.

Maybe a guidance computer would work instead of the SSB? Either that or a TP.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback. Fly safe.

Some Machariel and some T3 fits are nearly impossible to beat for level 3 blitizing.

Not clear based on your comments about low sec so the following may be based on mis-understanding of what you are doing.
The payouts for level 3 missions in low sec is virtually identical to those in high sec but your risks are significantly greater.
If your standings allow you might be better off running those missions in high sec.
If standings is the issue then ignore this part.
