Err, no. Faster hard drives only help when loading something. As the entire game is only a 300MB install and takes 700MB of RAM and 300MB of Video RAM, you won't be loading anything from the hard drive once you've logged in and undocked.

You have to be joking. It's a 300Mb install + a tiny matter of 17 (ish) Gb of shared data.

I'm currently in null sec on my Pi Raspberry. It's got a better hdd than orginal poster to boot.

with a spec like that not having an SSD is a crying shame, you would open the system alot more, or future proof it and go for a PCI-E SSD ZOOM ZOOM
