Ccp the only thing you guys seriously can not mess with is our SP.

And in the past recent time of few months you have repeatedly and continueally messed with our SP.

Someones boss needs to get yelled at by their boss, so they can then roll it downhill and yell at the coders

This is getting ridiculous ccp.

Ima go play Lord Of the Rings online and World of Warships.
Hell you guys prob all playing WoWs too cuz you just blatantly stole the Carrier fighter UI POV from them AND THE NEW SHIP HULL DAMAGE/FIRE

Quit messing with our SP

So?

CCP said new toons/alts get 400k SP not 50k SP.

If someone creates a new toon/alt and it shows up with anything under 400k, you can bet people will have an issue.

For a verteran, sure, it's a drop in the bucket, but for a first time player the day-1 difference between 50k and 400k is quite stark. If you're following the career agents then at least you earn the skill books and some guidance for something to do while you're waiting to fit a repair module or shield booster. It makes for a bad first impression for a new player, particularly when other people on rookie help don't have the problem.

I'm still missing a couple of the new "starter" skills.

Yes this bug is rather odd, I just created 10 new alts, 3 of them had the regular 400k, the others the old amount, any further idea about this? because I am not game to create 7 tickets :D

I tried to figure out if there's any logic in regards to race and bloodline or whatever but even that doesn't seem to be the case. So no idea.

Yeah maybe... but when the new system was implemented players that got the lesser were given the skill points which turned out to be better as the pre-set skills were not necessarily the skills you would want.

I'm pretty sure if this is reported as a bug it will be sorted out sharpish

I'll bet it's something that distinguishes some accounts from others, such as subscription type or last resub date.

Steam accounts
Recurring billing via credit card
PLEX account
Amazon account
last billed date

etc.

Made 2 new test ones.

sp tester2

Amarr - Ni-Kummi -Navy Veteran

2015.11.22 03:26:11

starting sp 408,995

sp tester3

Caldari - Deteis - Merchandisers

2015.11.22 03:30:08

starting sp 399,718

As they were different I checked to see what the differences were.

Amarr

Armor 32,000 sp

Hull Upgrades (x2) level 3, Mechanics (x1) level 3, Repair Systems (x1) level 3

Shields 2500 sp

Shield mgmt. (x3) level 1, shield operation (x1) level 1, shield upgrades (x2) level 1, tactical shield manipulation (x4) level 1

Caldari

Armor 4494 sp

Hull upgrades (x2) level 2, mechanics (x1) level 2, Repair systems (x1) level 1

Shields 20729 sp

Shield mgmt. (x3) level 2, shield operation (x1) level 3, shield upgrades (x2) level 2, tactical shield manipulation (x4) level 2

So both worked.

I can't help thinking if these 56k sp newly created characters are fairly common, we don't seem to be hearing much about them on the forums.

Here's a question, did these people make their accounts through a referral link, and if so could it have been an old link.

No its bugged.

I made a completely new account using the direct CCP link.

First char i created only had 55k, tried twice more with different race bloodlines and they both had 55k as well.

Biomassed all 3, this morning i created a new character and it had 55k as well.

This was on a completely new registered account with no existing characters.

doubt it is this, all 10 were created in the exact same way, 3 had the new amount 7 the old

Looks like this one is a bug, it is being reported elsewhere. Ignore the people trying to derail the topic - it probably is useful to stick one up in GD so other people with the same problem can see it's a wider problem. Dunno about petitioning each alt if you've created multiple but it's probably worth reporting at least one from that account so they can try identify where the problem is.

Hopefully a dev or GM will spot this topic and remark, they do occasionally comment when they spot topics like this. Gl getting it sorted.

Hey folks, your best bet is to actually file a bug report so that the issue can be dealt with quickly and efficiently. The more information you include the better it helps resolve the issue. Thanks!

FWIW, I had a brief conversation with a GM on the account in question an unrelated matter (part of new account followup, or something). They seemed as surprised as I was and urged filing *both* a bug report and a ticket for reimbursement. I'd already done both at the time.

The missing SP was eventually reimbursed to the character, but the 50-something missing skills still had to be purchased. For an alt, of course, money is trivial.

If both new to eve, the help menu can be found by F12 in game. This has a link to the in game bug report tool, as well as for the out of game help desk so your friend can file for the reimbursment of missing points.

I made this pilot yesterday, 11/27.

I have about 55,000 skill points right now. Really has been nothing but trouble in regards to cerebral accelerators, skill points and skill training since they released Bug in a Box.

Dev's need to be made aware of this ASAP.

It's a pretty big deal for any new people that join. Most new players will see something THAT buggy and leave.

Other's might not even know and be 'cheated' out of 350k SP.

Been around since the beginning.
