Just wondered what the standard bonus on the Nidhoggur will be after the changes, damage like the Thanatos?, then will have two defence & two damage, just that this was the carrier I was looking at training for.

Too early to tell. It's still on the brainstorming stage right now. At least nothing that is not protected by NDA.

Given the mechanics which are changing and the complete shift of roles indicated - I don't believe that any of the carriers will look like they do now.
You might (for example (and this is entirely speculative)) find that the Nidhoggur gains a bonus to the web range of deployed fighter squadrons while the Archon goes for tracking disruption...

I strongly suspect that the Archon will be losing its resist bonus; although perhaps rather than entirely losing, it might shift to the fighter squadrons...

Speculation at this point (at least on such questions as individual bonuses or which carrier will be "best") is virtually pointless for anyone not party to the sort of information covered by NDAs - so if you're unsure you're probably best off training for the one you want to use now (if you feel the time you'll have in a current style carrier is worth it); or waiting until more information is in the public realm and a more educated choice can be made.
