I have the same problem with asserts. It can happen every 5 minutes, it's impossible to play in such a way. Evil

Well using Public Beta 3 right now. Eve does not work out of the box yet. But a workaround works for me. Right click the eve.app in the programs folder -> show package content -> Contents -> Resources -> Click the EVE Online.app. This works for me only the client won't update.

Seems, that it really helps Shocked
Thanks!

Update: ok, it not fully resolves the problem, the asserts are still happening, but not every 10 min like it was before...

Well, EVE Online implementation is re tarded in almost any imaginable point.
It has been developed without any QA or vertical scalability.
CCP devs proving their incompetence from time to time.
And even through there are some promises of improving stuff - they are all empty.
You can't make a barrel of dirt taste better with a spoon of honey.

Long story - short.

I'm so much sick of this c rap.

After so many updates. The window in window mode is still showing HALF under El Capitan....

Any plan on fixing that?

This is fixed with the most recent version of Cider we are testing.

I just upgraded to 10.11.1 and now the Client keep crashing for me. I get a slightly glowing all black screen and the computer freezes up. This has happened a number of times. Anyone else had the same problem?

Well, similar problems I guess. I've been getting regular assertion failures. I deleted the client fully including all the directories under ~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online to hopefully clear things up. I got an assertion failure almost right away after doing all of this.

When was it released? Or is it still testing...Mine is still half window...

If it is released should I clear my user cache?

Just another newbro with a mac and time on my hands.

I've tried launching via 'show package contents' to the EVE Online.app to no avail. Lost ship(s?) because of crash.

When will CCP officially support the current Mac O/S? It's been almost a month now.

Hey amigos,

Just updated to El Capitan 10.11.1 from whatever was before El Capitan.

Getting a half window immediately upon clicking 'Play' in the launcher . Blinking and freezing. Not sure if the game is loaded or not.

I know this thread is a few weeks old but did anyone find a solution or a work around for this?

Currently, 10.11.1 is not even in the "supported OS" list according to https://community.eveonline.com/support/download/ I just recently found that out...

I'm also currently waiting on the next update (they announced a Mac client improvement), since playing the native OS X game just doesn't work (non stop crashes, etc). Currently, I'm using a "PlayOnMac" software, which uses Wine, under which I managed to install the Window client, but it also has its flaws... but it doesn't crash at least!
