Yes, and if they don't work cancel their clone contract. They knew what they were getting into when they ran their campaigns, there are no innocent bystanders here.

I see. So if someone says 'I will represent the peoples' interests, because I have the time, will, and drive to do so' and then, as happened with the first CSM to leave this term, the conditions of their life changed and they had an emergency to take care of, rather than saying 'ok, you can't do the job, you resign, we get someone else who can, we hope things improve for you', you would prefer to... threaten them with death, while requiring compulsory labor and ignoring the emergency that has arisen in their lives.

Because that's not going to create a resentful, bitter, angry representative who actively works to spite your interests, right? Putting a gun to someone's head is the best way to get them to want to help you, in your opinion?

A Goonie arguing for the null bloc dominated CSM? I'm shocked I tell you, shocked that this is happening.

Conflict of interest much there, pilot?

Quite.

Elected representatives stand down all the time, for many reasons. Life brings challenges, and none of us are gifted with insight into the future. In a democracy, there is always someone else of talent ready to serve.

Captain Nielyi appears to style herself with a Caldari viewpoint. It may be therefore, that she views the sudden inability to serve the many as a serious weakness. Individuals who put their feelings, family or personal needs above that of the corporate body are considered liabilities and should not have taken on a job that they could not complete regardless of cost.

Personally, I agree with the sentiment of your last paragraph, but the State seems to have found a way to select for corporatism rather than individualism. Perhaps this is what Captain Nielyi is arguing.

Humanity has won its battle. Liberty now has a country.

It sounds loud, it sounds proud, and it takes too damn long to get to the bottom of that bullshit.

The only real purpose of it is to prove that CONCORD should continue it's "divide et impera" policy to prevent some mad canned puppets get enough strenght to put the Claster into eternal chaos.

This whole CSM program has no chance to succeed while they allow to capsule interface such animals as Nick Bete or Anabella Rella.

Honored are the dead, for their legacy guides us.

The State also tends to see to the needs of its corporate officers, both through salaries and benefits. The Council receives neither.

Here is a CSM platform I could get behind:

  • Elimination of all customs restrictions regarding slaves.
  • Introduce a new inexpensive container that can both hold vast numbers of slaves and produces a CONCORD registered "killmail" of its contents upon destruction.
  • Withdrawal of all CONCORD anti-Empyrean defenses from Minmatar space (including those preventing orbital bombardment of Minmatar cities).

Go away, Nauplius. As in, for good.

I feel like the CSM elections should follow in the footsteps of the Imperial Succession Trials. Candidates should compose their combats teams from pilots in their respective corporations and have a combat tournament. The team that wins will have their candidate granted the title of next CSM. All other CSM candidates must then commit ritual suicide.

I like that. At least it has some merit instead of stupid voting.

CSM?

That weird "stellar council", where all the pompous nullsec warlords get a free tour of CONCORD headquarters, sit there and generally feel important?

Um, okay I guess, why not. (Wasn't going to vote, of course.)

Tamiroth, if you don't vote then you are part of the reason for the disproportionate representation certain blocs get on the council.

One more essential addition to any CSM platform:

  • Empyreans ought to be granted legal powers of enslavement such that they may enslave passengers such as Tourists, Janitors, and Exotic Dancers of either gender; such individuals have their SCC and other CONCORD database status changed to that of Slaves and may be sold as such on SCC markets.

You send that to CONCORD and see if they listen. CSM still has to operate within the restrictions placed by CONCORD, meaning no harassing someone else into biomassing themselves, no talk about socially unacceptable things and the sort. Last time a CSM member did one of these he was forced into resignation.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

I don't usually post in this forum, but I am a professed Joffy fan and he will have my vote.

Joffy Aulx-Gao for CSM. Fix links and OGB. Ban stabs from plexes. Fulfill karmic justice.

Well, that's a lovely way to avoid actually answering a question.
