I did see some similar threads here about low sec DEDs but I didnt want to hijack those threads so here it goes, my own personal thread where i can ask stupid questions and such ...

Im mainly an explorer ... a wormhole/null explorer mostly but recently I wanted to try low sec DEDs and though of using my legion for that.

This is my current Legion fit (still WIP), its fitted to fight sleepers in WH. I can solo C1 and C2 sites. I could also solo most C3 sites with this fit but it would take a while since most of the time, in the last wave of sleepers, i cant tank their DPS indefinetly (in C3 i usually go with a friend of mine with same ship and fit and clearing C3 sites becomes a walk in the park)


Anyway, of the top of my head (cant recall the exact numbers, will check once im home), this fit can tank somewhere around 800 DPS if im not mistaken (as long as the cap lasts). EHP is a bit on the lower side (could improve with a DCU but that means removing a heat sink which lowers the DPS, something I dont want to so I stick with lower EHP but higher DPS).

What i would like to know is, would this work in 5/10 DEDs? Can it work even higher (out of curiosity)?

Keep in mind this is a copy paste from my exploration fit, some changes might be in order for DEDs ... and that cargo space is a problem with this fit/ship ...

First , since you are in lowsec carry the subsystem for max dps in cargo and switch to it (Mobile depot if you have cargo space , if not station and forget the stationless systems), second due to natural resists you will tank angel 6/10 (actually an unrated site but whatever) in a single reper configuration but the lazors with do meh dps to those rats , in sansha you will need more tanking mods but lazors do great damage. 600 dps tank rat specific is more than enough and if you keep moving even less tank is needed. You should check evelopedia for info on each DED site for more info.

I used to rat in a legion for awhile so I will give you some advise. It kinda sucks for ratting because of the damage it does to the resists it has like you seem to already know. But it is a t3 so you can make due with some things right. It can run 5/10s, sansha maybe being the hardest because of op an track disrupt. Your fit looks like a solid travel fit but like dude said you must have a mobile depo an some replacement subs so you can fit into full rep an dps cause you will need it for 5/10's. Go with the 6 low fit legion, you dont need as many mids imo for ratting. The last room on every 5/10 will web you donw right away in your legion so your ab sig tank doesnt work so if you cant tank well you will be in trouble. Align out right away, overheat, then commence to shooting whatever. Angel 5 and 6/10's in lowsec are in a very good place right now and the legion has very high natural explo resist so remember that. I never used beams, they take up to much fitting room an the tracking sucks. The range is great yea but the dps an tracking on aurora is terrible and you would have a hard time popping the final overseer on 5/10's with 290 some dps. I remember when i was bran new ratting in my beam legion in some null anom and a elite frig got under my guns an pointed me. I had no web so if it wasnt for my buddy i would have died a slow death cause of beams. The only time I see medium beam laz0rs is in zealot/legion fleets an maybe an occasional phantasm. But hey if it works for ya who cares.
