Obliged to recreate the portrait ?

Hi,

I just reactivated my account and when I try to log my character, it seems I must redo the entire character creation thing. My account was frozen since March 2011 I'd say and I wasn't there for the Incarna patch, but I already remade my portrait before that. I kinda like how my character looks now.

Isn't there a way to keep my current portrait ? Or I am doomed to lose it ?

File a petition. Since you already have a portrait, there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the answer, I just filed a petition. :)

But it's sad that I'll have to wait days before I can play, especially when I think that I reactivated for only a month.

Indeed, expect it to take a week. I recently re-did one of mine because waiting that long to log-in just to use an old portrait is a joke.

Sorry to hear that.

If you do end up having to redo your portarait this is a nice guide about how to get the most of the creator.

My advice, turn your graphics settings down and play around for half an hour, it'll be quicker than waiting for your petition to be answered and who knows maybe you'll be able to come up with something you are even happier with.

If you go in to create the portrait, but don't save, does it remember the current pose and lighting?

Yeah I'm currently messing around with the character creator and indeed, pose and lighting are the same but shape, colors, clothing, etc are default. Sadly I'm not very brilliant at using the creator so it takes me ages to find something that pleases me. I remenber it took me a long time to get my current portrait (yeah it isn't breathtaking and all but I like it).
