Supported. The only other way to estimate how much damage your crystals have is where they sit in your hangar (if I remember correctly, the more damaged ones are closer to the top)

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I don't always fit lasers, but when I do, this would be really helpful.

Especially since I have a container full of the damn things and I have no idea how much is left on them when I'm in a hurry.

How much herp could a herp derp derp if a herp derp could herp derp.

I'd prefer that they get rid of crystal damage from the game entirely. The only thing it does is create more clutter and make people using them pissed off when they suddenly disappear.

i like it, but then would you imagine with all those already in game or just about to convert from LP's they gonna cost peanuts and we have a huge overstock for years

"The message is that there are known knowns. There are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know" - CCP

tbh i don't think it's going to be that much of an issue considering they'd get lost in pvp. If you consider the fact that price for them is already "balanced" somewhat by LP store prices they have a floor that they won't go through, even if they will be cheaper.

Lasers are great weapons not just because of their application and damage, but primarily due to the fact that you don't need to lug around a lot of ammo or care about reloading between ammo types. They should reflect their inherent strengths in this respect, as figuring out a way to repair them would be significantly harder to code than simply giving them the same code as t1 unbreakable focus crystals.

I would also like to have a way to combine damaged crystals in a way where you don't gain any shots, you just gain a cleaner hangar.

Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012.

Supported in general.

This has been discussed before, and my favorite solution is Crystal polish.

In a nutshell:
Each type of degrading Crystal can be broken down into the same type of Crystal polish, with the amount gained based on Crystal size and damage level.

Crystal polish can then be applied to damaged crystals of the same type, the amount required based on Crystal size, to repair the damage even up to 100%.

This ratio needed to repair a crystal should be a slight net loss so that you could not break down a crystal and reconstitute it back up to full so as to preserve market stability in the face of longer lived crystals.

Now you can repair and stack crystals all you want. You don't even really need separate Crystal polish if that still is tiresome on inventory, though at a minimum I would think faction polish and t2 polish should be a thing.
