Lyn Farel. Interview

Nia Kuha: Hello, Lyn.

Lyn Farel: Greetings, Ms Kuha.

Nia Kuha: First of all, we are very pleased that you agreed to become the first visitor to our project. We noticed that these days you have organized an exhibition in Caille University. Could you say a few words about it for our readers?

Lyn Farel: Well, I am honoured. Yes, I am at the origin of the project. I believe in sharing any form of knowledge and doing so in an international Fair about culture and arts should prove to be a good start. Of course here it is following the unique perspective of capsuleers and what they can bring to the cluster through their unique position. We hope that this Fair proves to be a good showcase offering a glimpse of a tiny portions of some of the finest bits of cultures in New Eden.

Nia Kuha: Why in Caille University? We know that you have a completely different roots. Such events would draw attention to the more ancient cultures, such as Nefantar.

Lyn Farel: Well, to be more precise it is taking place in Caille conurbation, not in the University itself. Of course, the University is part of the various hosts for the events. And uh yes, I grew up in the Mandate. I also know very well Gallentia and Caille as I attended the non capsuleer University after.

Goldfinch. Interview

Dominique Saint-Clair: Hello, miss Goldfinch. Or Jade? How you wish?

Goldfinch: Hello Abbess. Please address us as Jade, which is our birth name.

Dominique Saint-Clair: Ok. First of all, Jade, I want to thank you for your attention to our project and for the opportunity to meet you.

Goldfinch: We have heard of your project from our friend Lynara. She is dear to us, and we enjoyed your interview of her.

Dominique Saint-Clair: Well. You are gallente. Yes? But your sympathies, as I know, is not only the Federation. Who do you feel yourself more?

Goldfinch: We don't consider ourself to be Gallente. It is true that we were born a Jin Mei, and our birth parents were Federation citizens. It has been a while since our father's trial for treason and the subsequent exile of our family and the removal of our family name from the legal record. As we entered Amarr Empire as a slave and were subsequently Reclaimed, our loyalty is only to God, to our Husband, the Amarr Faith, and to Empire.

Aria Jenneth. Interview

Dominique Saint-Clair: Greetings you, Aria. Before we start I want to thank you for the opportunity to meet you on our project.

Aria Jenneth: Salve, Ms. Saint-Clair. It's a pleasure. Thank you for this opportunity.

Dominique Saint-Clair: So. Aria Jenneth – you identify yourself as a wandering scholar, correct?

Aria Jenneth: Most capsuleers are wanderers, to one degree or another. If I'm unusual at all, it would be in that I'm not really attached to any one point of origin. About a year back, I woke up as a capsuleer clone without any memories of my life before that moment. I had a head full of knowledge, but no personal memories. I'm an Achur, by blood and culture, but I don’t have any memories of that place, or even really any personal attachment to it. Also, my former self was really well-grounded in the Caldari and Achur cultures, but wasn't a very positive person. She never seemed to look outside that perspective with clear eyes. Even if she traveled, she was always very much a Caldari. I wanted to try to see the world in ways she would never have thought to.

Dominique Saint-Clair: What do you study?

Aria Jenneth: People. It’s.. kind of a broad answer, but it's true. I'm interested in people, the problems they face, and the kinds of answers they come up with for those problems and why. Always why. I'm interested in why people are who they are, whatever that might mean.

Seamus Donohue. Interview

Dominique Saint-Clair: Hello, Professor Donohue. Thank you for the opportunity to meet you.

Seamus Donohue: It's a pleasure to speak with you. Thank you for inviting me.

Dominique Saint-Clair: A graduate of the Cathedrale’s Cadet Corps, Menzo Berrante, suggested that I interview you, naming you, I quote, «known lecturer, who was nicknamed Encyclopedia for his vast knowledge».

Seamus Donohue: I'm flattered, thank you. I'm a member of the Education Department at EVE University. On behalf of EVE University, I create and upload instructional videos about New Eden. Additionally, I teach a class every week called «Game Mechanics Question-and-Answer Session» where I answer questions from students. My nickname «Encyclopedia Donohue» is a reference to a moderately popular children's detective series called «Encyclopedia Brown».

Dominique Saint-Clair: How many teachers work at the university?

Seamus Donohue: We currently have twenty-five Teachers in EVE University and twelve Guest Lecturers from outside EVE University who regularly teach classes. We regularly cycle through new teachers, so we always have a fresh group of teachers with fresh ideas. We're also active at liasing with other capsuleer organizations to get Guest Lecturers to teach at EVE University. This helps keep our classes relevant to that's currently happening in the rest of New Eden.

Oh, Seamus, eh? Haven't heard of or from him for a very long time. So he is still lecturer.

The man and his colleagues do good work. I was one of those capsuleers who, a month since release from mandatory service, sought him and the Eve University out to help myself find footing in this harsh cluster. Without him or his works, I'm probably still floundering around in high sec.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Some good reads. I'll be watching this with interest.

Utari Onzo. Interview

Dominique Saint-Clair: Hello, Mr Onzo. I'm glad that you found a time to visit our project.

Utari Onzo: Thank you, it's a pleasure to participate.

Dominique Saint-Clair: As I understood from our short correspondence, you're living in Providence now, but you serve House Tash-Murkon. So what's the place you name your home?

Utari Onzo: Presently I live on Sarum Prime on my grandfather's estate with my lovely partner. I see my employment within Providence exactly as that, an employment that I commute to via interceptor or jump clones, but my home is within the Empire. While I am not yet officially a subject of House Tash-Murkon, I have made public pledges to the family, and it is my intent to make those pledges an official vassalage soon.

Dominique Saint-Clair: Why Tash-Murkon, and not another house?

Utari Onzo: House Tash-Murkon and its supporters more closely align themselves with my political leanings. While the old saying no Amarr is a Liberal is true, there is a Reformist movement that seeks to improve upon economic and social matters for the long term development and health of the Empire. These changes will come, and are necessary in a post-Yulai Convention cluster for the Empire to grow. I intend to be on the right side of history, and the Reformists under House Tash-Murkon are the ones who'll most likely see it come to pass.
