It could be happening as CCP has implied that if the price gets out of control they will consider seeding them. When do the gifts normally get announced?

Ok, where's your source?

Sounds like you are trolling and rumormongering to me.

The price for Geckos have been going down thus your very first sentence is false. Good try but no.

Doubtful that they will seed them. The only thing I heard that comes even close to CCP seeding gift items is, and it's not even really that close at all the same thing, the fact that the Amarr Championship's participants will be receiving Gold and Silver Magnets. Beyond that, rest assured that Guristas' fighter abomination will remain quite non-renewable for the foreseeable future.

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

christmas gift from CCP this year:

Operation Frostline

Thats even better:
You will not get something for free, you will have to make some effort.

Consider "Crimson Harvest" the "Halloween event", so the this will be the next seasonal event.
One could have learned from the o7 show yesterday, that "crimson harvest" was a success and CCP will continue to explore lore and some seasonal events.

In my Oppinion this is a very good move, which is very much apreciated by many EvE Players.

Did not like or did not care for "crimson harvest"?
Thats your loss.
