CCP - what on earth has happened to EVE?

Since last "major patch" and "pain in a box" I've seen a distinct drop off in general quality of life aspects of playing eve.

First up connection issues..

1. Logging in takes notably longer than it used to.
2. Docking undocking notably longer.
3. Frequent socket closures.

Possiblly associated problems with connection..

1. Module activation lag.
2. Turrets and missiles firing but no notification of hits.

It's unbearably crap right now. The pain of logging back in after a socket closure is so much that I'm always expecting to find myself shipless and back in my cloning station.

Secondly, ship fitting...

1. Every module I fit to a ship has to now be manually onlined after fitting.
2. Random changes of ship results in every ships prefitted module being offlined when ship is activated. (This is intermittent - ie not every ship).

I know I'm not the only one seeing some or all of these. Corpie had a socket closure a couple of days ago lost him a nice ship and very nice pod for example.

What is going on right now?
Are you actually aware of the issues?
What timeframe can we expect to see these resolved?

hi, what an aggressive way to ask for help in this players other players forum

let's start by the bottom of your post, reverse order

"we" are not expecting anything, we player, since there is no bug for us. I except lot of thing from ccp though but that's not the point :)
no, ccp is not aware of your personal issue since you didn't open a ticket to their support, you posted here in the player help forum
what's going on is probably your client that have issue because of some random bug due to some accumulation of stuff, see fix after (accumlutation of cache and client file corruption due to crappy internet)

you make assumption about lots of stuff, no it's not happening to other people, and the socket closing 2 days are a bug from the internet in UK that spread major panic and issue in lots of place. ccp was hit too and for once it was not their fault

if you do know other player with fitting and module issue, be kind and spread the following part of the post, a kitten will be saved from vacuum jet can each time you help someone.

now the aggravating part is out the way, the possible fixes for what you nicely described (the second issue mainly), in this order :

- In game, hit ESC, go to "Reset Settings" tab and click "Clear all cache files". it will close your client, relog

if this does not work

- exit game and launcher, go into the eve folder and locate RESCACHE.EXE, launch it, watch it fix/download any corrupted files on your hard drive.

if this still does not fix your problem, these 2 actions are not a 100% sure way to fix these issues but have had success, then you will need to open a ticket with CCP
you will also probably use another "diagnostic tool" called logserver.exe (in eve folder) but not sure.

now i don't know why you get 'lag, disconnect, long docking time' all that seems the same issue : your internet box at home, nothing to do with servers or patch, since no one else is complaining about that.
look the title of the posts here page 1 and 2, there is a lot of problems but not this one, except for someone using wifi at school...
I hope you do not use wifi
