Seems CCP_Veritas cant get a 100% maxed out server to test TIDI on.

As he now has a Twitter account. His first update was

"An update you want, eh? Well, TiDi is awaiting a fight to test it in, and I've been busy doing analysis on the client"

"Now we're in the manual trial phase - I need to catch a fight in-progress that's 100%ing a node and flip the switch while watching."

Further posts dare us to max out a system or two so he can do final testing.

So shall we help him outTwisted.

Lets see if we cant get this fight started.

I say we can do it within 8 hours

Ready. Set. Go.

Update: first public test hard crashed the node. 580~ in local.

I recommend posting this in the allaince section, I know a few that will defeinetly perform a 'military' exercise against itself.

Yet another CCP fleet should do the trick, no?

Alternatively CCP should just follow where the goon blob is wandering and hope there is a Goon-RDN/WN brawl of epic proportions.

Maybe CCP should use bots on a node to overload, be more analytical at times, but free roaming players are nice as well.

Looks like someone finally gave CCP a fight so they could test.

To bad the test did not go well.

[15:45:48] CCP Veritas > Yeah, no, won't be trying that again until I get some analysis done as to wtf happened. :P

Good luck next time VeritasLol

Why not just go to Jita?

If Veritas crashed the Jita node for a test half of EVE would rage quiteLol
Also Jita is only running at 50% these days TIDI would not kick in easily.
It will be interesting what the diffrance betwean Sisi and TQ is that caused the node to crash when it was switched on. If the change speed function worked on TQ via previous test, the cause should be easy to trace and be server side.
But what do I know.
Hopefully Veritas will chime in soon with some updates.

actually,

I heard Veritas pulled that switch in a goon vs raiden/whitenoise/evoke/ewoke fight. alot of clients froze, disconnected, and on return raiden/whitenoise/evoke and ewoke where waiting for the d/c goons. within 2 minuts of loggin back in they dropped 35 titans + supers next to there already fighting drake/tengu blop of 320 man

Due to the sudden reappearance of the warped off tengu fleet overview went haywire and everything in the constallation froze up. after 4min resulting in an crash. That went in favor of the whitenoise/raiden/wokkies side.

ive digged up some screenshots.

The hilarity of that situation is only matched by the hilarity of pictures of 20 titans stuck in a bubble.

Thanks for the info. To bad the test went side ways. Looks like a good fight. Tests like this one though are the real tests of how TIDI will work in the future. Activating TIDI in the middle of a fight though sounds like a bad way to test it. Like hitting a brick wall and see if any thing breaks.

Fully understand this type of testing, and i dont blame anyone in the situation. Goons would have killed most of the enemy if it didnt got stuck. After dcing the fleet was gone to, so they needed to rebuild there fleet which took to much time while the raiden/white noise + extra's where all ready again. Hence, loosing alot of ships in the process.

Second test today went well. CCP_Veritas. responded to a twitter chat with these posts.

Time Dilation on TQ: Round 2 considerably better than Round 1.

@CCP_Veritas So its on auto now cluster wide?

@salhany Not yet, no. Need to scour the server logs and make sure nothing new triggered then we can think about going cluster-wide.

@CCP_Veritas Thanks for the answer and glad you finally got some fights to test it on. What broke the first test?

@salhany Just your garden variety bug that only expresses itself on the production cluster. Standard stuff really ><

@CCP_Veritas kk Glad you found it as fast as you did.

@CCP_Veritas Is TIDI on auto on Sisi?

No reply

Good news for all involved.

Veritas was in local today and it was in our fight, and it functioned flawlessly.

Local got up to 635 at a point, on an unreinforced node, and you couldn't even tell, the little green meter never really got above half, everything worked exactly as it was supposed to, and at one point we even jumped OUT of system then came back in, still no bad effects.

From Local:
