I am about to get Black Ops 5 so want the best Battleship to accompany it.

It used to be the Redeemer. Is that still the case?

I already have Gallente and Minmatar BS 5 but their Black Ops are inferior to the Redeemer, correct?

(No, it depends answers please)

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

They all have pros and cons.

Here are a few pros:

* The Sin is valued for bridging because of its cargo capacity, for carrying isotopes.
* The Panther is valued for its evasion ability.
* The Redeemer is valued for DPS.
* The Widow is valued for force multiplying in small BlackOps fleets.

It depends (sorry, couldn't help myself P )

Do you want it for solo blopsing or group? The Sin is nice since it can fit neuts in its highs and still have respectable dps.

The widow isn't so great for solo since it's dps is pitiful, but it is great in groups.

The redeemer can get very high dps levels.

It all kind of depends on what you want it for.

It would be in a gang where everyone is in a Black Ops. Say 10-15 people.

I will train up Amarr BS 5 as it sounds like a strong Black Opz.

Thanks for replies.

For pure sake of the role "BlackOps" I'd say that the panther is the best black ops ship purely because of its mobility and speed.

Best Black Ops is probably this one.

Panther is great at bumping, sin can fit all sorts of utilites such as remote reps, imho redeemer is meh for the fixed dmg type considering you are usually dropping into armor heavy environmen (but you get to choose what to drop)t. And Widow can keep the target(s) jammed so it is priceless but falcon works aswell. So while redeemer has highest dps and great tracking it is unnecessary and can be replaced by a bomber or two, while bombers provide fast secondary points and extra ewar.

The Panther is the best-looking out of the bunch. Everything else is irrelevant.

I can only fly the Sin, but I like it's versatility. For when it's not going to see direct combat, it holds alot of fuel for jumping and functions well as a logistics platform to repair damaged ships. When it is used for combat, drones are an excellent option for DPS or even jamming to GTFO.

I agree with Alaric, the Sin is the most versatile. Plus I've always loved Domi hulls.

For giggles, you can fit a Panther to fly at over 600m/s while cloaked, or turn into an Alpha Monster that can one-shot stationary (read: gate camping) dessies and frigs. There was a guy called ARGH28 who used it to great effect and has some old youtube clips. Hardly Black Ops, but I tried it myself in a C2 a long while back, and got a few results :)

The Sin's agility bonus is often overlooked, but is actually quite awesome. With Black Ops V, that thing aligns *fast* (well, fast for a battleship with plates on, anyway :). In many cases it's actually more agile than Panther, though the Panther has much more raw speed.
