That sucks. The issues with the skill queue seem to have been resolved with the latest Parallax patch, but everything else still seems to be an issue.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

When you next login there's a new update that seems to have fixed this on my end. Will check to see if this is still the case later this evening.

New Parallax Issues
• Today I experienced a new glitch: double-jumping. I undocked, warped to a safe undock bookmark and was treated to a show of my ship warping from the undock twice. This was in a shuttle so align time and warp speed weren't an issue.
• Obtaining NPC missions through agents now has a noticeable lag/delay (at least the first time you access the agent).

Is anyone else having issues with the in game browser?

As soon as I open it is just black and if I try to close it the client locks and I have to force quit.

Yes, it's hooped (known issue). IGB = black screen of death.

Dont know someone already mention it, but since the last update yesterday my New Scanning map does not work anymore.
Issue: the Map is Black and shows only the known green ano´s. When i drop Probes there is no change and i have switch back to the old map to see my Probes.

Hope that helps

Well, thanx, I never thought it would be so important to me, but with all the different communities using IGB as part of their connection methods I find I'm limited because of it.

Yea, they know about it but either don't care or just can't fix it. (notice how there was never a response back)

The problem as you show is while CCP is dropping support for the IGB from all clients they are not doing so until CREST and the API tools are there to replace the IGB functionality. BUT since since those CREST tools aren't ready yet and since they aren't working on the IGB anymore (unless it's a cider problem then god help us all for it being fixed) the very thing they said they wouldn't let happen (dropping the IGB without CREST support) has happened by default to all the Mac users.

I'm also really worried about this whole CCP approach of 'we don't support it, let the users make the tools outside the client'. The Mac community is small compared to the PC side, and almost by definition doesn't have as many programers in it. Outside of PYFA what Eve tools are available for both Mac and PC that aren't web based? Not much, the PC side has them all. So I fear as CCP drops support for in game functionality the 'gaming experience' between the Mac and PC side is just going to just grow even wider, putting the Mac users at even more of an in game disadvantage to the PC users.

That‘s why web based tools are awesome, and native clients aren‘t ;)

I‘m very happy the new beta launcher is available for OS X now. I like it!

At the same time I am still plagued by crashes and lags.

So... Any chance of getting a Mac update with respect to Parallax issues?

Tonight I couldn't even sell items on the market. I'd click on "Sell" and it the Sell Items window would just hang there in stasis until maybe a minute later the transaction would complete.

Still having skillque problems, times not showing up right and what not.

Switching fleet member roles is glitched. It won't work while docked, and there's typically a 10-15 second delay when reassigning roles in space. The glaring market issue has been resolved to the point where it's now only as laggy as it has been for the past few updates. Opening the market or contract window still freezes the screen for 15-20 seconds. Gate jumping is still hit and miss, and I find that when running more than one client I have to reissue jump commands on a regular basis. Any idea how much of the new visual FX on SiSi we're going to have to wait for?

in-game browser doesn't work for me either, it doesn't load pages and makes the whole EVE crash when I want to shut it down.

I'm using the Mac beta launcher.

The IGB (in-game browser) is hooped. And from what's been indicated, it will be dying a horrible death at some point in the not-too-distant future.

There seems to be a lot of consistency issues with data displayed in the fitting window. On a daily basis I experience wild fluctuations with stated DPS where the displayed value is easily double or triple the actual DPS (which would be nice if it was actually the case, but I digress...). This typically lingers for quite a while and is not immediately resolved by refitting or undocking/docking or jumping through gates.

In addition, Omnidirectional Tracking Links do not change drone stats at all when activated (regardless of whether they're scripted or not). Only Omnidirectional Tracking Enhancers modify drone stats. Finally (assuming this is all related), missile range displayed in the fitting window can also fluctuate wildly - typically half or double the actual maximum range.

The only way to get the correct stats is to quit, wait a while and logon again. None of these occurrences happened prior to Parallax and Brain-in-a-Box, so my guess is that they're somehow related.

Any chance of getting some kind of update on this CCP? Are these known issues that you're working on? Should I keep posting these anomalies?

Transcript of my support ticket; self explanatory.

KEEMINGCHI Tuesday at 10:28
Hi, I've been playing Eve on my Mac for sometime now. About a week ago, Eve started to crash. Initially it would be once after a few hours of play and a restart would be sufficient to get the game back on track for a few more hours. From yesterday onwards, it would crash regularly every hour and then more and more frequently. Now it either crashes immediately or in a few minutes rendering play impossible. I have allowed it to generate crash reports and also copied the error messages which tend to be exception raised or buffer overflow / overrun. See attached files. Please let me know how to fix this as I cannot play it currently. My username is keemingchi. I have deleted the application support folder but it still does not help. Thanks.

Hi, Could I have an update on this please. Do note that I am completely unable to play Eve at the moment despite having paid for game time. I would appreciate a speedy response as I enjoy the game. Thanks.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting customer support.

The reason for these crashes is most likely that we don't yet support OS X 10.11 El Capitan which you seem to be using. We're aware it's very prone to crash and are working on sorting that out before declaring official support for it. In the mean time, we support OS X 10.7.5 through 10.10.x. We will update our System Requirements page once we're ready to officially support 10.11. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Best Regards,

Hi GM Tron,

Thanks for your response.

I noted there was no advice in your response on what I should do now. To be honest, it is somewhat disappointing to hear of this issue. The beta of El Capitan was released mid-July and the official release at the end of September. Therefore quite some time has passed and there was no warning from CCP about not to upgrade to El Capitan or what other actions to take. Gameplay is currently impacted so the reality is that I am paying for a product which is not usable.

I assume you are certain that it is an El Capitan issue that is causing the crashes. Do note that I have been using El Capitan on its release and per my earlier note, found it generally fine until about a week ago when the crashes started to be so regular as to make it impossible to play. That said, is there anything CCP can offer as compensation or a relief measure during this period until you can support El Capitan? Perhaps you could backdate a suspension of my account and stop my subscription clock running until that time? I am open to suggestions so hope we can agree a win-win solution.

I have been a loyal fan of Eve Online and respect CCP as its developer. I hope you can understand the situation I am in and help in any way you can.

Many thanks and hope to hear back from you soon.

Kind regards,
Kee Ming

The recommendation implicit in my previous reply was that if you were able to play on a supported version of OS X then that should provide relief from the crashes. However, if that's not an option we have the option of freezing your account until we are able to support El Capitan if you want.

Everyone here acknowledges Mac support is in bad shape and we're looking at ways we can improve that. It's too early in those investigations to say anything more about at this point, though.

Hi GM Tron,

Thanks for your response. I am unable to revert to an earlier version of OSX so really the only option left is to freeze or suspend the account. Can you please reset my missions so I do not have any disadvantage for something not my fault and then suspend the account with effect from a week ago. I assume this means my subscription is extended for the period of the suspension. I love playing the game but this is all that is open to me at the moment. Hopefully your team can support El Capitan soon and let me know when it is fine to play the game again. To be honest, this really is frustrating because the festive / holiday season is coming and that is when I have more time to play. Hopefully Mac support is improved and Mac participants are supported better otherwise the result will be an exodus of Mac users.

I appreciate your assistance in this regard and would be grateful for the suspension, mission reset and any other additional support you can provide bearing in mind this is something I am sure your team would not want a loyal supporter of the game to go through.

Thanks.

Kind regards,
Kee Ming

I'm transferring this ticket to our billing team to help with freezing your account. There may be a wait before someone is available to follow up on this ticket and we apologize in advance for any delay.

Thanks GM Tron.

I assume the mission resets and other details have been attended to by yourself or the appropriate team member. In the meantime, I will organise my Eve matters within this period.

Appreciate your assistance on this and please do let me know once El Capitan is supported.

I am aware that Mac users have not been treated as well as Windows users but the experience has been passable so far. I can deal with the occasional crash and having to resize windows and other minor niggles. But it is now completely unplayable. My past interactions with the support team have been ok and they have generally been helpful. But this time I have had it with CCP as the customer support has been really lacking. Implicit recommendations and a completely none customer friendly "we know mac support is in bad shape but we can't do anything about it yet" drives me nuts!!!Ugh

To top it off, I went back into Eve a moment ago to tidy up my matters and found my missions have expired (including an important storyline mission) so they have not picked up on my request at all. Just terrible terrible customer service. So I am now in a situation where I am at their mercy having paid in advance for a few months. Does anyone have any constructive advice or have encountered similar situations?

I think I am close to being done with Eve.

Thanks in advance.

Since the latest update was released I can't start Eve from the Launcher. After login and clicking Play I get an 'unhanded exception'

http://imgur.com/QlgkV9N

Prior to this update i was getting regular crashes when i opened the In Game Browser. It would completely freeze my client and if I was in full screen mode I had no way of getting out to kill processes, thus had to hard reset my mac.
