Alrighty around the room. Lucky me RL has drawn me away from EVE for that last 45 days. The new upgrade simply is not happy with my Vista machine I guess. I have a standard cable internet and I pay and play three accounts. One on a laptop, and the other two on my main box which is a tri core 8mb Dell product. Oh FYI settings are cranked down to minimum on everything! ( Never been a funny face, plastic pants type of pilot! ) I log on all three just fine. Do my mining that I love to do. Then one machine crashes then the other one. When they crash it is like they are still there but no input is possible. I am literally forced to soft boot my machine to snap it of it funk. I have play with three account for 2 years now with no real issues. ( Maybe one a week a crash. ) Any cheap honest ideas out there? Can t justify buy a new machine for eve. Wife agro!

My question is since EVE min requirements say 7, 8.1 or 10 min. Is it worth to get windows 7 for 49.99 via mail order? ( Fyi I don t download hot sites. My RL buddy got hammered for a 2K fine for doing that, not worth it ! ) My hypothesis is since I no longer have the min operating system, that is the Captain Obvious fix for this problem. As I read the eve online tech board is say Windows WP and vista are only partially supported.

Should I spend the 50 bucks?????

the lines after that have nothing to do with eve :)

burn vista in a fiery storm of whatever is hot enough to your liking

then yes buy whatever windows is the cheapest for you to officially buy, install it, activate it, then get windows 10 for free

all your computers will thank you for that.


Back to eve
now will it fix your problem of crashing, meh... recent updates in eve have added new graphic stuff, I hope you meet the hardware req, which have been updated in october

Yes. Vista is a bad Microsoft experiment gone horribly wrong. It's like that one kid that makes all the other siblings hate Mom and Dad for having more kids.
