Bling fits - not actual "fits" hence GD

I am a wallet warrior and if my wife ever sees my Credit Card statement, I would be homeless shortly there after. All those "sorry love I couldn't get a table, here's a bottle of Wine and Rustlers" (then buys a couple of PLEX).

Anyway I decided to buy a ship and do a "bling" fit. The aforementioned fitted ship sits at a pretty 2.6 bil ISK.

I am just wondering where I rank on the bragging rights board? What's other people's bling fit isk wise?

I realise this is a invitational post for gankers across Eve. They will however be disappointed as the ship remains docked Twisted

I built purely to own a bling fit and to screenshot to try and entice my friends back to Eve (quit following CODE gank)

TBH 2.6bil for a fit isnt scratching the surface of bling in any regards. Especially for a wall hangar style trophy ship. Not only do many of the AT and other prize ships handed out over the years make yours a drop in the bucket just for the hull itself. Ive seen many officer fits on them too.

If you want to see bling fits getting wrecked cruise through Korean Ninjas old gank mails. He finds some bling fits that actually get out into space. And even those are likely not even scratching the surface of what youll find on actual wall hangars in this game.

That being said epeen waving is full in effect and no I wont be the one to show off either. Just offer some truth to whats out there that way.Smile

Have you heard anything I've said?

You said it's all circling the drain, the whole universe. Right?

That's right.

Had to end sometime.

Go fly them, as Miker said. My last Battleship loss was around 2.2 bil and I lost pods in that price range too.
My other char lost 22ships and they stack up to 10bil so do the math. :)

As long as you have fun flying the ships do it. Mine lived for many months with changing fits, never caught sth and when I simply tried to hop 4 jumps with scout a gang landed on my ass when I arrived at gate and being in a rush to get where I wanted to be I didn´t even had the correct stuff with me. :D So yeah, I welped 2.2 bil but as long as it doesn´t break the bank it´s ok.

I dont have anything I would call bling fits myself, but I do have a masse of ships worth a fair chunk of change flown once. Most notable is a hangar im nullsec with carriers full of command ships.

Side note, I must point out the chuckle I got about the following combination

Discussing personal wealth and bling publicly im eve while part of an alliance called "Darwinism". Evil thoughts about natural selection/predator prey run through my head.

To quote Lfod Shi

The ratting itself is PvE. Getting away with it is PvP.

I'm sorry buddy, 2.6 bil doesn't grade as a bling fit outside of PvP builds. Bling PvE builds start at the grade of ship required to run 10/10 DED sites efficiently: about 3 bil. Anything above about 5 bil is considered pure bling since little benefit is returned for the cost.

PvP builds work on a different scale. Most PvP'ers consider any fitted modules worth over 100m to be bling, however these can often significantly enhance ship performance. Bling fits typically range up to about 7 bil (seen in some specialised black ops fits).

There are of course outliers which are considerably more expensive than these.

There was a missioner's Raven Navy Issue that got ganked a couple of years back that was blinged to the tune of 50b, more or less. Can't remember the exact amount.

Someone ganked a Procurer in Amamake yesterday that was blinged to over a billion.

Both are examples of highly excessive bling for what the ships are and what they do, in my book.

If you have to lie to your wife to get there, none whatsoever imho.

Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......

OP, bling is officer grades. You're going to weep when you make a fatal mistake and have that ship lost whether from a wardec or from NPC. Your wife will inquire "why so sad?" You can't lie to woman, she will find out what you did.

I still remember the old login page back before this launcher shenanigans that there was a 40B fit Kronos that got nuked and made on the news reel.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Jolly good - happy hunting lad o/

OK so not quite a "bling" fit. Another case of how noob and ignorant I am with all things Eve!

I don't even know why I play. I am beyond shite on every level and aspect!

All playing Eve has done for me is turn me into a paranoid mofo!
