Maybe it's a matter of scale combined with expectations. Firstly, consider that in certain areas currently attempts are being made to conquer just cities. Weeks go by and they're still trying. One notable example is trying to conquer a country, we're into years for that endeavor. Here, you're not just conquering a planet, you're conquering a solar system.

Secondly, why should that take you as long as it takes to play a quick game of chess? Is this to satisfy an instant gratification urge operantly conditioned into people from a push button society? Uhhhhh.....YEAH it IS. What are people thinking going in? "This shouldn't take long." Why are you conquering a system anyway? Is there some "game mechanic" reason for you to even be out there, besides boredom?

Thirdly, is this being viewed as, "Hey, we have a couple of hours to kill. Mining op? Aw, too boring. Rat roam? Nah, we did that yesterday. I know! Let's get the new mod and conquer a system!" Then, upon realizing it's going to take a lot longer than anticipated we go into, "Redesign the game for me! This sucks!"

Just askin' Cool

There just isn't anything that can be said!

Yup but seems many here didnt get what i think problem is problem is its hard to get but easy to keep becuse of node automatic regeneration so game is actually defending for you so just get that part out of the game and we are all good

The only thing I don't understand with your complaint is how many nodes are you guys running at the same time?

There will always be a minimum of 5 spawned nodes and if you have multiple entosis ships, it's quite easy to run them all at the same time if there is no defence.

For an attacker, starting at 40%, it's a minimum of 12 nodes, so capturing 1 at a time is a slow process (especially if it's a Capital system), but by running multiple nodes at the same time, it's easy to reduce the time to under 2 hours.

This is the least constructive SOV thread that I have seen so far.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Didn't CCP implement a SOV overhaul in say, the past year or so? Yes, yes I think they did.....Roll

Yes, but now a crop of new players with no frame of reference has used this particular iteration of the feature for the first time, it can once again safely be declared "broken", in dire need of ITERATION, and CCP chastised for the next 5 years for their wilful and callous neglect of said feature.

I need those who agree to write +1 we need to make ccp change sov system, timers on entosising are too long and if you are flying low number fleet it can take up to few hours to just take tcu or i hub,i like that defender starts with 60% but bad thing is autoregeneration each one we dont do in 1.5 hr will count toward defender so taking inactive alliance with small fleet is next to impossible considering how much mind strenght and willpower you need to do it,i mean cmon guy you just made impposible for small active, good alliances to take even ******* inactive systems in eve

17 Guys last night for 3h to kill a TCU and put a station into free port while getting 0 kills for a 4x system.

Fact that alliance we are taking system from is inactive doesnt mean whole null space is empty there are always roams coming throught so you cant look at it this way oh we have 5 ships and 5 nodes lets spread them out and we win

Yeah of course the constellation might not be empty. That's part of why the sov mechanics are the way they are. But you certainly can run multiple nodes simultaneously. We've been doing it for weeks now. It's not that difficult.

The whole thing you are complaining about currently as an attacker, is exactly the same thing you'll be happy about as a defender, especially if you go back and read many of the threads prior to the recent changes.
