So needed to get on Sisi and it seems the new launcher is the only way to do that now (old one incompatible). Fine, I'll try it.

First thing the new launcher prompted me to import my setting BUT the file selection process is confusing since some of file names I got are not anything I could recognize and some seemed missing. So I brought up me old browser to search for what was happing and that action seems to close the import settings window for good. I could not find anyway to tell the launcher to import settings so after finally having to get on Sis all my Sisi settings are gone. Fine, whatever it's Sisi. But now I suspect all my TQ settings are gone too (I still haven't logged in to TQ just in case). If this is the case CCP I'm gonna be really mad this time!

Unless you can import settings anytime the whole import settings dialog box and procedure needs to change.

You can open the Client Settings dialog at any time from the drop down menu under the E logo.

The new launcher does not delete any settings - the client is run from a different location and so gets a different settings folder when run from the new launcher.

I'll need to do another pass on this dialog to make it more intuitive, but the names on the left hand side when you have 'Migrate old clients' selected corresponds to install locations for your old Eve clients.

I'm sorry, but I'm not getting this. Do you mean the 'EVE' logo? I have no "E" logo. And there is no dropdown menu under the Eve logo for me. I have a dropdown memue next to the EVE logo that lets me select servers. a dropdown menu under the little gear thingy (yes that's a technical term) that lets me pull up the launcher settings but I can not find an import feature in any of those widows?

Ohh O.k. found it, it's under the "view' menu in the OS toolbar.

And I do have a file name that's not one of my installs. It's just a bunch of numbers. May be my Sisi settings?

Try it in window mode - it might not be the EVE client but the settings on your Mac (Power Nap) that are effecting it. I haven't run RVE full screen for over two years. Only issues I get on undocks, IGB and some data query lags.

Don't know your play times are, but if your up for it, I wouldn't mind helping over TS.

Hmm..thanks. I'll try in windowed mode and see what happens. Since switching between apps is the problem, windowed mode might help. If Power nap is an issue, maybe disabling would help. I might take you up on your offer, I'll let you know. Thanks

No problem - yeah Fullscreen mode just seems to blah to me. I can't remember all of my settings - on power stuff. I know power nap is a "info" (command-key + i) option on the Application bundle.

Good news: it worked better in windowed mode. Bad news: it still crashed(but it took 2 days of use before it did). It crashed again in that brief moment when it goes fullscreen before it goes windowed. I've turned off power nap to see what happens.

I think the E he was talking about is on the right side of the account name
(Wish I had a photo)
I know for me, multiple accounts, there is a up/down - check box - account name - E (looks like a paper to me) play/stop - unlink

Well, glad it is working better - sounds more like a computer setting issue than EVE. Well like they are fighting each other over something related to you screen.

I will sleep on it, an maybe I will be enlightened on what needs fixed.

Yep you are right. It's the little notepad icon. I couldn't see it before since I hadn't entered an account name and password.

So I gave the Mac launcher another try and it seems to be running better with the latest update. I was actually able to connect to SiSi for the first time in a long time (!). It doesn't seem that there is any way to import the settings of clones, so you have to reconfigure everything manually (my only gripe at this point).

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

There is a way - long version I posted in this thread (like point 3 or 4)
CCP Snorlax (check spelling) is aware of the issue and is looking into a way importing them.

My method requires a least one toon logging in to create the new settings folder - and then becomes a game of copy and past.

It imported the main one fine. I did use the main .tranquility file for the clones, but it didn't work.

Yes - I understood that part - to get your clone settings you Have to do a little leg work.

Hold option/alt and click go in the finder menu bar > click Library > Application Support > (you will have EVE **** folders, one for Main EVE, and one for each clone > (to make this easy open the main folder in a separate window > then navigate into the Appication support folders for your clones - the path goes through local storage, CCP etc *** the steps on on page one of this forum, and as I am not at my computer, I don't remember them all. *** but once you get there, just copy and paste the settings that have Numbers in them - those numbers relate to the toons and to the account (one per toon and one per account) the toon settings are related to you UI settings. The account one controls you graphic/general settings.

It's fine - I already went in and changed all my settings (including importing a new Overview). While the Beta Launcher seems to remember individual settings (including graphics), it doesn't seem to retain screen size for windowed setups (it defaults to the size of the main client when launched).

Yeah. I use two monitors and the mac launcher doesn't remember which one needs to be on which screen. It will get there.

edit: p.s. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to start over from scratch when it comes to the UI... lets you try things a little differently!!!Lol

Is anyone having issues launching the in game browser using the new Mac beta client? If I switch back to the old launcher the in game browser works? New launcher will not load the website and if you try to x out of the browsers it hangs the eve game window.

I remember this being reported earlier in this thread - as far as I remember, CCP/Cider are looking into it.

p.s. CCP, December 8th is getting closer, are we going to see the new Cider build in Sisi? With a list of things you want us to test. Please don't make us wait tell after patch day to find out what was fixed or broken.

Thank you.
