Looking for Typhoon Fleet Issue fit / advice

Basically i want to make high end TFI mission runner and i am bit behind on all new missile modules

Aiming for cruise shield fit and not sure what is a deal with new modules can they be considered replacement for missile rigs?

Anyone use it for missions and is willing to share fit is appreciated.i am not so sure should i bail missile rigs for warp rigs all together it still seems slow compared to mach to even try.

Post what you got here and il post final product,maybe some vids if it performance is for bragging.

Some vids that shows how effortless afterburner setup deals with angels incoming dmg due to invul giving solid kin explo rezist will try to get some EM heavy missions did got pith/blood scarlet mix but that wasn't real challenge.

Speaking missiles only, t1 phoon seems to have better bonuses it shoot faster and even lacking good chunk of alpha seems to delete cruisers/elite much better...opinions?

I'm not sure if the Typhoon or TFI is a good mission runner necessarily. I used both extensively while ratting in null and they were great because they were cheap but put out a LOT of dps. For missions you'd want speed, both in pocket and in warp, over raw dps.

Though to answer your question, the new missile modules still aren't exactly replacements for things like paints or rigs as you'd get more out of those than the new modules. What can be advantageous is if you want to fit hyperspasial velocity rigs you can use paints and the new missile rigs to help make up for the lack of rigors. Though to be fair you wont be able to completely replace the effect they give. This however would mean you should be looking into armor tanking the typhoon using a reactive armor hardener or DCU and a rat specific hardener with a dedspace repper. Cap Booster in the high should be enough regarding cap usage for most missions.

Still the Mach will outperform it in most situations, especially isk/h blitzing.

Currently i am testing 540m/s ab single invul(nothing else) phoon/fleet phoon.

Punching above 1500dps and not need to wait just run toward gate id say it have in sites speed and they kinda wrecks all the things

For drones i use 2 geckos 2 augmented valks and hobgoblin(omni tracking script fitted) to maximize bandwidth i have no use in this setup for sentry's i am not willing to be by them or wait till i get to 2nd gate to deploy them.this combo also warrant me i will never have to launch any other type of drones they will alpha frigs on approach and even track em when they establish orbit.

But there is no margin for error first i run w booster fitted just in case now i run no booster and OGB for extra resist(single invul is horrible)and almost 700m/s of dmg mitigation.

And i finally plan to drop ogb and use extra speed and resist via overheating only you gain pretty much same boost like OGB just timed.

But i would like to see what other peeps are using in terms of high end fit so i can test it against it see is it worth it or not.

If you want numbrs to compare with, my Mach does 1200 gun dps with Hail (when fighting Angels) and 1076 dps with RF ammo. Applied damage depends on range. End of falloff with RF is 78km, less with hail but Angel rats like to get in close. Drone bandwith of 100 so it depends on the mission what drones I take with, usually some flavor of sentries adding around 200dps. That means with hail I get just over 1400dps.

In pocket speed is over 1500m/s cold (2200m/s Hot) and warp speed is 8 au/s. Align time is 8.5s

Tank is pretty solid, 2 hardeners or ENAMs, and dedspace large repper with a cap booster for in case.

When it comes to missions however you skip most lv4 missions, blitz the ones that are blitzable with the mach (so in pocket speed and warp speed matters far more than dps) and you focus primarily on burners.

Machariel being bestest cruiser and all I don't look at blitz and burner farming due to running missions as change of pace and testing all kind of ships for their performanse so acept all kill all pretty much.

Love 8au w speed tho makes travel painless.

The Rattlesnake is for the most part a better typhoon, depending on skills. Usually you can make do with the Kin/Therm locked damage bonus on the rattle but it does require an equal amount of focus on missile and drone skills as the damage contribution from both are about the same. The extra resists on the rattle will also help free up a mid slot for application modules like a MGC or Target Painter.

The best place for a Typhoon or TFI currently is running anoms in null because of its high DPS and decent drone bay/bandwidth and cost.

ps. apart from very specific missions, most have a large amount of frigs and cruisers. Torpedos, I'm assuming you're using rage torps, will be very difficult to apply damage with even when dedicating half the ship to application. The Rattle has an advantage here as well in that it has a larger amount of damage coming from drones that can more easily apply damage and thus you can use torps on BBs primarily.

I will link fit when I get home but fit is cruise missiles phoons I get (without single missile implant) around 960 dps plus 480 from drones totaling 1400dps as is, implants push it over 1500 but that clone gonna push me back a bill so not really hot to 8nvest in it for few days of target practice.

I like more uneven dmg ratio toward missiles so I can use drones like mop up crew rather then depending on them so what ever survive Salvo 500 drone dps will clean it up.

Rattle does look tasty it's just not on my plate as of yet. I probably did not fit it completely inEFT but I did not like single gecko action (even if it is supercharged) and missile speed and aplication were lacking.

It just seems that tank on that thing warrant it's use outside of l4 missions.

Best TFI use is 5s due to awsome dps coming while still having 2 utilities... with the recent (or is it upcoming?) change to the gurista BS even that role will be effectively lost... rip...

Barghest:
The Barghest is underperforming a tad in our eyes, so this change provides a slight DPS buff at high skill levels (9 effective launchers vs the previous 8.75) while providing a second utility high.
-1 Launcher (second utility high)
Change damage bonus to 10% per level


The above quote from the dev blog reveals a BS that will be a LOT better for lvl5 missions in my mind
(Specifically the utility high not the slight dps increase)

The Barghest is really a PvP boat, and will be even more so after the balance update. On the plus side, it has (or will have) 9 effective launchers and a 200% missile velocity bonus, decent agility and velocity. But this is where the benefits really end... It has no missile damage application bonuses, only 6 mid slots and due to the size literally catches on everything - from starbases to acceleration gates. Go Rattlesnake...

Other missions i completed are the score war collide angel blockade pirate invasion scarlet etc...

If you don't mind a few constructive suggestions, I would drop the MGE in favour of a nano because aside from range it's not adding much to overall damage application (you already have rigors, flares, the MGC and the target painter). The 4th BCU I could go either way on (it gains you ~2.5% rate of fire and damage) but you might find a second nano, DCU or Hyperspacial module is more beneficial than the extra 2.5% missile DPS (especially since you're speed-tanking NPC damage). Glad you're enjoying it!
