RFF's Obsolescence

Used to really respect RFF. They used to have transparent rules about pricing and hiring: If demand outstripped their ability to recruit to meet delivery goals, prices went up. Similarly, getting recruited into RFF meant waiting until demand required it. Obviously, not so long ago, things have changed. Their bar has become whether they can charge enough to "play for free" on plex, screwing customers up the ass a second concern. The downfall of pushx has reinforced their hubris.

My gripes have more been about volume and collateral than the recent 40% price jack. It's inconvenient that a day's build of battleships has a collateral value of about 1.5bil, and there's no way in hell I'm paying RFF's high collateral rates to go from Orkashu to Amarr.

So, based on some comments in here, public contracts 4tw. 16 ravens? No problem. 900km3? Got you covered. For that reason alone, I'm not interested in squeezing the haulers, as my margins are just fine. I'm more interested in building up a degree of trust that I'm not setting anyone up for a gank and that I'm a high volume customer -- something like 1500 3-jump contracts per year.

All fair enough, but the interesting bit: RFF pilots are picking up my public contracts. The empire rots within.
