So I'm looking to maybe train a links pilot for my 'solo' PvP efforts go try and even the odds against the gangs that inevitably result. Quick questions: no POS available so what methods do people employ to keep their links ships alive with minimum attention paid to them...aligned out in a safe, tanked on a gate or station? Also, I can fly a Tengu, good fit for links? Just links of choice and then all tank? Prop mod, cloak? Thanks

Highsec: sit anywhere. It'll be ok.

Lowsec: Most common is sitting on station. Less common but you'll still see it regularly is sitting on a gate. Safes are also used, but easier to kill if probed.

Nullsec: use a safe.

In lowsec, stations and gates provide the support of sentry guns and ability to dock/jump at the expense of easy to find. Safes provide no support/deterrent to attack but are more difficult to locate.

Which you go with is really up to you and the space you are flying in.

Sitting on a wormhole is another option. You have the advantages of a station or gate in that you can always quickly pop through (and jumping back is quicker) while it is a bit harder to find.

If using a safe spot, I would recommend a safe that is far out of d-scan range of any planet. Bookmarked old mission spots can sometimes make great safes, they can be 20 AU from any celestial and are often also out of the ecliptic plane of the system, so someone won't spot you by d-scanning while traveling as well.
