STEAM CONTROLLER [RFI/DEV]

but before clicking on the order button, can a dev/gm give us CCP position about that?

A GM won't give you a response in the forum.

If you want an official response on whether that is ok, then you need to raise a support ticket.

i highly doubt they would take issue with a steam controller,
why on the name of tap-dancing christ you would like to use one for eve is another matter entirely though

So long as its one press one action, then it "should" be fine. just read the multiboxing/input automation thread op....
for instance, I have a deathstalker keyboard, its perfectly capable of using macros, but in eve I don't...doing other things I do...no problem here

Same lol want to buy it to. Just do not know if it will works if it works it will be great.

Steam says it will work also with games without gamepad support so. Not sure how the will pull that one off.

Come one, Ralph. You've certainly been here long enough to know you should leave absolutely nothing out of the realm of possibilities with these people. People already want flight yokes, throttles, and yaw pedals to be a thing in Eve. Next, it'll be steering wheels...ugh.

nothing new here : "to play atm you need a keyboard and mouse, assign touch to TS/Mumble,..."

now imagine you are a dad, your child like to get on you to watch youtube/cartoon or show what's he doing on the tablet.

i let you imagine how it's hard to keep your hands available and still get a comfortable position to your back/arm/neck.

i see an opportunity with this little controller to keep my body safe and keep enjoy life child
so just want to know the ccp position and community feedback (i can be wrong)

for the current (market/travel/pve) use i'm sure it can do the the work,
for pvp (solo/roam/fleet) a keyb+mouse combo will the best off course

for massive fleet it will depend of tidiLol

So long as you're basically assigning a specific key combination that only performs one action to a particular button on the controller, you should be fine. If you want to check actual examples, then filing a ticket is the only way to get clarification.

Hopefully your little one won't start trying to mash buttons on the controller at the wrong time and cause you to make an embarrassing market order...
