Locking this down now. It is very obvious that you guys want info on the future update and you shall receive - soon. Warlords 1.3 development is doing great, and we are happy where it is right now.

We are just getting into final stretch with it, and then will start revealing it to you all.

Silence can be frustrating, but sometimes it is well wort the wait.

Frame didn't really add anything new to the equation with that. There's always some new version coming out.

The port is what people really want to know about. This just seems like a distraction... misdirection, if you will.

But, whatever. I guess anything keeping Dust players from cutting themselves can't possibly be a bad thing.

I know Aeon Amadi said he doubts it will be a component, but the most important thing this release could have would be the Powercores.

For those of you who aren't on the Dust Forums, a few members of our community proposed redoing the way assets are handled by the game to reduce RAM and VRAM consumption on the PS3, thus freeing it up for further assets and leading to less framerate drops.

CCP Rattati (current Lead on Dust) responded very favorably to this and said he was going to prototype it.

To me it feels like sort of a diversion... distraction...

Could be they want us to ease down cuz they're working on something,

or they just want to toss the hot potato around...

For those who care :

A part of our community will go on strike/boycott on Dust ,Saturday 14 November...

Dust thread

reason : we would like from ccp about the future of Dust past the PS3, given there wil be one...

Every time power cores are brought up, Rattati responds with "It is still something I would very much like to do" rather than "It is something we are working on".

At CCP, when a team member uses that kind of language its usually safe to assume that the inner-team hype surrounding that potential feature has fizzled out and they are no longer actually going to do it. CCP has always had problems being honest with itself, and its community about that kind of thing. One need look no further than the current status of EVE Ambulation and you can find the same type of quote.

Actually, in reading through the limited text in the EVE Universe art book, they confirmed that Walking-in-Stations is scrapped permanently. They said they might use the work they did for another game, which I'm guessing is pre-lobby/social spaces in Valkyrie given the interior concepts they had in the next section showing Valkyrie characters and some structure designs.

Lmao. Leave it to the art staff to be the only ones capable of giving a straight answer. I have to wonder if that was actually a quote someone didn't get in trouble for. The EX-Whitewolf guys who threw CCP under the bus in that one article were also former art guys. Perhaps an artists desire to express oneself transcends the fear of repercussion.

I always hoped Dust players would rely on us to transport them between planets. I would love to jettison them.

Then it would be neat to drop them to fight over PI structures.

I've always wanted to be able to fight over PI structures and use Ground-to-Space weapons to help fleets.

Or even have Dust guys controlling PI station guns or something to that effect.

Newest Scope News Report features Arkombine - a Corporation of clone mercenaries from Dust 514 lore - working with Mordu's Legion to take ORE stations back from Serpentis!

This is the first we've seen of Dust 514 in EVE lore in quite a while.

Not sure if I should raise an eyebrow or simply be offended that they would even hint towards this.

Very curious as to their actual intentions right now. If they just want to give a nod towards it in the lore that's cool I guess but these videos are rarely used for such reasons. They are almost always directly or indirectly promoting new content.
