Mobile Depos are great, Master loves them. He can refit when he run sites appropriately and they add another dimension to PvE combat. However using them is a pain if you scoop loot, the contents of your depo gets mixed up in your inventory of useless space crap and you are forever sorting through it when dropping off loot at a station.

Master has accidentally even sold the contents of it a couple of times thanks to mass sell (another great feature) and this has made him very displeased. I received several spankings that day!

My suggestion is to make depos kind of like a station container in your ship that you can scoop and deploy while it maintains the stuff you put in it. This means we can keep our wanted modules separated from the random stuff we pick up and not forget them or accidentally sell them. My bottom will also thank you.

Less sorting and fighting with the interface, less chance of accidentally selling stuff you want and the ability to sit. Master and I would both love this change.

Try paying attention to what you're doing, that should solve your problem.

Master would like to offer you 10 x spankings for your terrible attempt at trolling.

I am having a hard time figuring out why I should care about the opinion of a careless person roleplaying as a gimp.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

OK then Master should learn about this really neat super high tech toys we have in the game that can solve the problem without asking for game changes.
The real questions are
Is master intelligent enough to locate them in his local market?
Once located is master intelligent enough to figure out how to use them?
Or does master need us commoners to explain how they are used?

Your only clue indy players use them all the time, maybe you should take heed.

If only there was some kind of container you could use to secure your stuff.

F&I Pro Tip #42:

If you want to ensure people ignore your suggested feature or idea completely, employ a stupid gimmick while posting it.

I do enjoy reading your comments, I do.

I especially love how so many people care enough to post about how much they don't care. Wonderful!

Considering that depots have, what, 6k m3 of space inside them? And they're only 50m3 on their own?

The depot itself would have to have an external volume of at least 5k to avoid becoming the most overpowered container in the game.

So either the depot would get blown up to a size that only an Industrial could haul, or its storage volume would be reduced to being less than that of small standard and secure containers.

Consequently, keeping a medium secure container with me is exactly what I do when I know I'm going to be employing a depot and going on extended outings. At 35m3 packaged volume, they fit in anything a depot can fit in, and don't have the risks of being scanned down. They're cheap and can be abandoned when finished with them

Run a site, burn upwards a few hundred km, anchor the container and use it as a non-scannable storage location for the truly valuable goods. If something goes very, very wrong and you get caught, there's a very real chance that the depot will be scanned down and popped before you can get back to it. Not so much with the secure container, and you can run an interceptor out safely and easily via nullified insta-warps.
