Fingers crossed for a quick implementation of new NPC AI to make eve survival obsolete then we can get more crying about bugs and not working as intended.

Someone will run into what i am talking about. They will not fire and have all the waves spawn in very rapidly, and eventually CCP will discover a piece of equipment activates triggers indirectly. (In this case it will not technically be the mission)

At this point I dont care if you guys dont believe me. Im just keeping this thread up in case anyone else will run into what im talking about. Im sure more and more people will go "I had not problems" as if some percentage of ok mission runs means its not bugged.

Petition and be done with it, and you might get something back, even if it is just an acknowledgment from CCP that it is indeed a bug. Anecdotal evidence from all concerned is just that - anecdotal. Only they have the capacity to see if it is as you claim, and it is bugged, or it is as the rest of the forum seems to think, and the triggers were shot and you didn't notice.

CCP wont look for the bug until more people report it... Hence the thread..

Its why trolls spamming the thread with blind skepticism is really not constructive.

You know what stops bugs from not getting fixed?

Fanboys putting out false information to make it appear like user error.

Was going to post the EvE Survival page but got beat to it.
You should have a bookmark to that site and refer to it often, even mission vets forget.
The mission is not bugged it is working as intended you just got careless and popped all of the triggers at once probably because they got lost in the sea of red. seen that happend more than a few times.
Tagging targets, in this case the ones you do not want others to shoot is extremely helpful in preventing this problem use it.

Coordination between 2 or more players in alot of missions can be tricky, again tagging targets to the rescue.

No such thing as splitting tank in level 4 missions the rats attack anyone or everyone based on a series of factors.
Your attempt ot warp out my have triggered the NPC to attack your friend.
And when you died he did gain agro from everything in the pocket.
EWAR use is a big one for attracting NPC fire, learn to use this to your advantage by switching the ship that is using EWAR drawing a majority of the fire in many missions giving the other a chance for their tank to recover.

I know it is popular to say that 500 - 600 dps tank is more than enough for all level 4 missions and that is true as long as you properly manage the NPC groups and agro. However as you found out when it goes wrong for any reason 500 - 600 dps tank is worthless.
To prevent a loss like this in the future and especially when running missions as a group I suggest that you look at 800 - 1,000 dps tank as a reasonable level to give some extra protection against errors the other person may make.

And the answer is yes I spend more time running lvl 4's in a fleet with others than I do running them solo. And usually those fleet members are new players prone to making mistakes like shooting the triggers because they do not read the EvE Survival pages, or because they cannot or will not follow instructions on how to handle tagged targets.

LOL, you can split the tank. Its called shifting aggro back and forth between active tanks.

lol this a so easy mission for one ship that i never understand to go in there in a duo. "if your partner think he can shoot every cruiser" live with that. someone made a fault and just discuss it first with your partner.

Thank you for proving that you have no idea how missions work.
Outside of EWAR in most missions and drones in a few others there is no way to control who has agro from the NPC.
Well actually that is not quite true you can warp out insuring that you do not have agro.

I have been running Attack of the Drones several times every week for more than a month, it is the favorite mission of the agent a corp mate of mine is flying with right now and we tend to run together just for fun. In all of those times and all of the times I have run the mission in years past what you are talking about has only happened twice and both times it was due to a new player getting confused and shooting the trigger ships. Setting those aside what you are talking about has NEVER happened to me not even once. So if you are waiting for others to chime in with the same problem you are likely to be waiting a very long time.

Since none of us were with you there remains the extremely remote chance that you are correct, and if so then you might just as well file a bug report and see what happens. Even if they ignore it what have you lost?

Now I'm positively certain the person you were running the mission with set off all the triggers in the hopes that you would lose your ship.

You also know what stops bugs from getting fixed? Paying customers being treated like QA and/or beta testers. A lot of people simply can't be bothered using CCP's rickety system.
