Having trouble finding someone to move 300k m3 worth of materials 17 jumps, in high sec, once a week (or more if things ramp up). Don't know what a good price would be for this sort of thing, was imagining 51 mil (3mil per jump)? Is that low? High?

No Idea, but you'd probably have to take collateral into account. Nobodyll take a 20 bil order for a relatively low reward.

This is a signature.

It has a 25m signature.

No it's not a cosmic signature.

Probably.

Btw my corp's recruiting.

I should add that Red Frog is wonderful - I've used them many times. There are other corps out there that do this as well - PushX and Rocket (sp?) come to mind.

If collateral is only 300m, that will get done quite quickly off public courier contracts for 17m (if it goes through no danger systems), +5m for each of Uedama and/or Niarja it goes through, +5m more if it begins or ends in one of those two systems.

It will get done (but not necessarily as quickly) at lower prices.

I often move 10b or more of goods a week so penny pinching the haulers helps a lot.

Avoid PushX like the plague - the website tracking system is a nice bit of frippery, but in no way makes up for the scores of expired and unfinished contracts, the bullying attitude of the channel moderators, and the general sense that they are trying to resurrect past glories.

This is why anonymous public contracts are great.

Sometimes X-Feanor does them, and he is prone to expensive accidents too.

If you haven't tried a public contract yet then I am surprised. 3m per jump is a very nice reward and should be gobbled up in a heart beat compared to the usual crap reward of 500k-1m per jump most people offer.

3m/jump is vastly overpaying.

A freighter carries approx 750k and wants to make 1m/jump for a full load of 1b coll. I base my pricing model off of this.

So if I'm booking 300k m3, that means they have another 450k m3 they can fill up from other contracts (and another 700m coll to fill). I'm only going to pay them half rate, say 400-500k/ jump. This is assuming a high sec route with either the start or end point being a trade hub.

Now if I'm going nontradehub-to-nontradehub, particularly in a remote location where they won't easily be able to "fill up" the rest of their load, I'll just pay the full rate, 1m/jump.

If I'm going tradehub-to-tradehub, I usually cut my rate in half. That's because they're going that way anyway and they'll take my contract just for the sake of taking a contract.

I don't give bonuses for crossing Niarja/Uedama/Aufay. If they're not overloaded and carrying like 8b in a Fenrir, they should be safe enough.

Now if it's a rush job, you pay whatever your margin will allow (up to 5m/ jump I'd say, maybe more). If there's low sec, well you can't reasonably ask a freighter to cross it, you need to patch it down into 50k m3 DST-sized packets or pay the JF rate (6-8m/jump?? something like that).

90% of my stuff gets delivered from fairly low-priced public contracts. I just set them at three days and if they don't get picked up I relist them again for more. If I have a rush job or full rate job I post it to the Hauler Channel. I also have a couple friendly haulers I regularly work with, for them I pay a little more for their loyalty and also give them good setups so that they're never traveling somewhere empty, or I'll design routes for them if they're coming back from somewhere weird even if I don't normally trade there.

I have used public hauler contracts a fair amount. I used to do regional purchases for data cores, salvage and other stuff and used haul contracts to pick everything up and to haul to Jita for me. It saved MANY hours of hauling work. I set my reward to 10% of the value of the contract and 120% to the value of the insurance. Newbs snatched it up. A haul worth 10% is a good deal for a newbie. If they died it wasn't my problem. Put up a publilc contract and see what you can get is my advice. You will need a freighter to haul for you, and I don't know if you will pay them enough to make it worth their while. The more you pay, the faster you will see your order hauled.
