this the first time I ever heard of something like this. I know at one time I seen on the site that Dragon Age or Dark Age I think it is was going to make a TV series of it, but that was like 4 or 5 yrs ago I think. Sadly to say it never happen even after they made a trailer for it.

I think an advent children esque EvE movie would go over well.

Definitely an infinite amount of story potential considering the scope of an entire universe.

Only if it is less generic than the Blizzard trailer (which gives me little hope for the film).

It was the most cliché trailer I've seen for a long time. Nothing new in it, just pretty VFX and a crap storyline. I'm really at a loss at why people are so excited over it. I suppose it's the IP it's attached too.

They, being CCP, are in talks with ridley scotts company, scott free, to bring a tv series based on eve online. its still being negotiated form what was said at the eve ip panel at vegas

This game has virtually no lore, no real story to it.

NPC pirates have no real lore

Concord is nothing but a bunch of pussys

Who'd watch it?

The player base drives new players out.

WoW has over 5 MILLION players. Not to mention well over 40 MILLION EX PLAYERS who will go and watch the movie without a doubt.

I can see it now, the vastly zoomed out battle scenes of epic fleet clashes (which is still better than the usual "space ships pretending to be sailing boats" trope) and the opportunity for solid character development in those intense personal exchanges alone in a captains quarters....

Its a big old universe, what do you want? One coherent Story? That book would have 5000 pages and growing.

As to a movie or TV series; no thank you.
