So, reviewing my last two pod losses, apparently Svipuls can lock your pod and point it before it warps off. You learn something new every day.

I've come to the sad realization that I will almost always get better coffee at home than at work, yet I spend more of my waking time at work. Possible solutions include bringing my coffee making apparatus to work (grinder, brewer... etc.), not sleeping, becoming CEO and upgrading the coffee service, and quitting coffee.

Today I went with the temporary solution. I'm homing from work^h^h^h *sip... sip* working from home.

Doh, patch day at World of Warships... slipped off my mind, logged in late and barely could fight 3 battles, but at least now my Colorado captain is at 100% performance.

I am certain I will not bother to grind anything else. I'm terrible at DDs, cruisers are so-so, the Bogue is... well... less of a turd than a Langley... but BBs rule. I appreciated Wyoming once I learned to fire full broadsides only. I liked the New York. I'm so happy with my New Mexico. And the Colorado, well... just finished retraining her captain. I know Nagato is OP, but I facemelted one with the New Mexico and HE support from a Omaha (rarest event ever, a cruiser doing something else than die and ignore enemy DDs).

Been a great day actually, won my legal battle and secured my little girl's future today, at least for the interim.

Moving into my new place next week, pretty excited to get back to work and on with life as it should be.

Not gonna ask how or why the things happened, and I might be biased, but I think you were the good person in that feud.

Thanks Dongle Steron! Still a long way to go but we've won the hardest part and it's a huge weight off my mind (and heart).

Of course I'd like to think I'm the good person in the dispute and I'm sure the ex feels they are. Ultimately it wasn't about us though, I had to keep my daughter's future safe from someone who only wanted her seeing me a couple evenings a month. They wanted effectively 90% custody. My little girl deserves better, she deserves the best of both parents if they split. Equal time, care and rights for the next 15 years.

And I won that for her. But it wasn't easy, or fun (or cheap). I'm still seeing a counselor weekly to help me deal with the emotional turmoil of the whole episode. I guess ultimately only my daughter can judge me and what I had to do to secure her future.

Aw, don't sell yourself short! Hengie's right. It's so easy to get petty in situations like that, or focus so much on the former partner that it messes things up for the kid(s). Even seen it happen to good people.

Which means you're the best kind of people.
