Odds are there is a 'fix' for that. Look for the NPC Null version. Usually those .exe's have the early release bugs fixed and do away with the silly internet always on, ... uh.. 'feature'.

I don't need it, I just brought the install discs where there is an internet connection which isn't mine but that I can use.

Also, the first Alpha game doesn't load on my system without the upgraded video card.
Also, it requires 2.4 GHz which I don't have.
My system only runs 1.87 GHz which is equal to about 2.0 GHz.
Unless is 2.87 GHz and that I have only 2 GB Ram.
I think I have 3 GB RAM.

Edit:
There is an unlimited number of install for the license.
Although, that I may not be allowed to run on a commercial server without prior authorization.

Good news and Bad news...

Bad news:
- I didn't have the time to test any of the games at the place with internet since their systems don't have DVD and some that do are not connected to work.
(Edit:
There are about 3 or 4 systems with DVD operational, however, they are near the front door, and I prefer not using those systems at this time, although I may try later though.)
- I tried to install the video card but the huge plastic heat sink on top (or side, while connecting in the PCIE port) won't fit due to USB metal case blocking the plastic top to insert.
- I will try to call the store that sold me the device as they mentionned that it would work on that system.
(however, I sitll have to locate the receipt.)
- There are 4 screws with little metal springs that hold the plastic cover on top. (However, there is a "Warranty void if removed" sticker over one of the 4 screws. I cannot see if something else than the screws are holding the plastic cover on top , like glue or other circuits connected to it. This may also work as a way for electronic current to end at.)
- My current transport only covers for 1 week from Monday to Sunday, and today being Sunday, it would cost me $6 to go anywhere round trip. (Like to go to a place that has internet, or even to the store that sold me the device , and the computer system.)

Good news:
- The bad news are so bad that there is no good news.
(- The wireless keyboard and mouse actually worked and still works. This is used to replace an also new waterproof keyboard made of rubber which folds. It is the cleanest keyboard I ever used and had, however, it makes it harder to hit the keys properly, and it increases the risk of errors per keystrokes. It also does have that annoying, though effective, wire.)

Alpha Protocol finally loaded.
It was hard to find, but I managed to run it.

The problem was that the original info from the game have been patched to (version) 1.1...

I found the file, ran it on my system (the one that the game is installed on), managed to do it without internet on that system, and it worked.
It still works now.

It is from here:
https://support.sega.co.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/201561101-Alpha-Protocol-Activation-Update

1) Download the patch:
US Disc Version:
http://downloads.sega.com/alphaprotocol/alphaprotocol/pc/ap-100to110-na.exe

2) Once downloaded, install the update.

. = - = .
If you search for:
http://www.alphaprotocol.com/activation
, it will lead to deactivated content.

I did not managed to enter the activation code, however, the game runs.

. = - = .

Many people panic, and forget it is a spy game, and don't bother to reach the Sega support site, which is hard to find in all the fail spam btw.

Also, the game is about the government
Alpha Protocol
which is a rogue organization
designed to protect the government.

The reason it is rogue (and top secret)
is to avoid liabilities.
In other words, it acts as double agent, and
gathers intelligence by seemingly appearing to be on the enemies side,
without protection from the party it intends to work for.

I finished it for the first time in 3 days.

I started it again, but it takes too long.

I still have to test loading the other Tom Clancy's game without internet which I may try to do tomorrow.

I made it to Veteran now after finishing the game in Recruit mode.

It does take longer to do it than the first time around, but I don't play by intuition alone anymore.
I also missed a few of the phases or scenarios which were either omitted or bugged.
