I just persuaded my rl friend to resub after a 12 month break and seeing as he's recently got a new computer he had to download Eve again. However everytime he tries to launch the game it fails to start. It keeps telling him he has to download Direct-x 9 when he already has version 11 installed. After 4 hours of dicking around he gave up and promptly unsubbed again! Sad

Anybody else having launcher problems?

did you try to go into settings and set directx to 11?

did your friend install at least 1 directx redistributable on his new computer?

did you try to run the game without the launcher

but to anwser your only question, no one is reporting similar issues in the past week except for someone on a lapttop and intel integrated card, but that's not really the same issue

No idea what he did tbh, he just came in work today moaning about how bad it is when he paid a sub for a game that won't even start. He ended up downloading and playing World of Tanks instead. :(

I'm p****d because I've spent the last two months pestering him to resub.
