Increased Lag since Parallax

I know brain in the box was supposed to help reduce lag (by some small degree) when jumping between systems etc, but since patch release I've been seen considerably more lag any time I encounter other player ships. Since the patch every time I've gotten into combat I've had hesitation from the client. Modules don't respond and then the client reverses and things start trying to catch up.
Had it happen repeatedly last night trying to catch targets on gates, the target would get locked and when I'd try to activate point modules nothing would happen.

Today engaged a tristan and spent a good 5-10 seconds at the beginning of the fight where we were just flying around, graphics were going off but no one seemed to be taking any damage, then again the client seemed to try and catch up.

Just now jumped into a system while flying a buzzard with 10 ish targets waiting on me on gate. Activated warp and immediately tried to activate my cloak and...... nothing..... nothing.... nothing. My ships appeared to decloak and start aligning but my module would not activate. Then yet again the client went into reverse and appeared to try and catch up. Luckily I lived.

This is happening on 2 clients with one very old character and one fairly new one. Net ping all looks good, no socket closures. Just lagging response when encountering other ships.

Just did it again trying to leave the system. Jumped through and caracal was decloaked on the other side. Caracal warped away, kept getting farther and farther away and was still on my overview at 1au, then it all reversed and he was back on gate and appeared to warp away normally.

Samething's been happening on my end as well. Had so far some 3 desync events just as you described in the last couple of hours for this session just running missions. Everything will be going fine, then the game will seemingly stop updating things like damage, ammo counter running down, modules turning on/off when commanded to, and so on, then a few seconds later the client races to catch up with everything that was cued I know my internet's not' the best in the world, but even this is sudden and out of the blue. No other programs, browsers, or games show this consistent and frequent momentary loss of connection. It's getting a little discomforting being in a Marauder. People in PvP could have even more of an issue if it's not just us two.

For now, I'm going to assume it's just a bad connection on my end, in the meantime running the rescache file, clearing cache, and resetting my router and checking my cables (just got a new Cat6). If it happens again next session I login, I'll send a bug report in game.

So far, performance has been otherwise unaffected by Parallax so far that I can see.

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I didn't get the names but saw others in local chat complaining about it last night as well. Any confirmation that it's being looked in to?

Will also point out that during pvp practice sessions on SiSi last night I didn't notice this happening. Everything on test server seemed to run smoothly.

I can confim that too. Its quite annoying tbh.

One example that was rather dangerous: my small gang warps to a gate where we believe a cynabal gang to sit. we land. overview is empty. FC calls "stay on gate". Suddenly on overview 30+ cynabals appear out of nothing 60km off gate when the client catched up.

Wormhole exploration is a gambling risk with this lag issue. A jump can happen 3 times before you actually jump, I even got traffic control when jumping from 1 wh to another..... Exiting stations takes forever, opening the market, the contracts, etc... this also seems to be related to the new way eve works, like a web browser game, loading the libraries each time someone uses a function ingame. Advantages: Less space in disk, faster client download for new players. Disadvantages: worse overall game play for everyone.

Ditto for me and basically my entire alliance. Sounds like brain in a box wasn't bug tested enough

Also experiencing lag on my second computer only which is running XP. My main box which runs Windows 7 doesn't appear to be affected.

The problem manifests as several seconds wait when opening windows, context menus, activating modules, loading environments etc. Pretty much all actions in fact.

Problem started after Parallax update.

Just to update, the problem still happens as of now, though it's far less common and typically comes in the form of module delay that takes about a second or two more to respond than normal. It does still happen commonly enough though to notice, at least once each session (I normally spend between an hour or two online each login).
