Counts as industry so I guess this is where the question belongs;

My friend and I are are trying to mine together using freight containers.

Wiki says I should be able to deploy my crate for corp, which I do not have the option of doing.

So I then read (on every eve wiki imaginable) that my friend should be able to put stuff into my container so I can freight it back to our corp HQ, which he can't. Everyone I've spoken to says he should be able to, we've tried everything.

Am I doing something wrong?

I'm using Huge Freight Containers, deploying them for myself and that's as far as we can get.

Why can't I deploy for corp? Why can't my friend access the freight container?

Edit: We are attempting to do this in a 0.4 security system. I know you can't deploy in 0.7 and above.

There are containers and secure containers. Afaik you need the latter one for what you want to do.

With a giant secure container anyone with the password should be able to access it. The problem is that their capacity is very small - any mining barge has a larger ore hold.

If your friend is anchoring a Freight Container himself you should be able to scoop it (using a freighter - Charon/Providence/Obelisk/Fenrir) even if it is yellow to you without turning suspect.
Haven't done it for ages - you might want to test it on Singularity to avoid flying a yellow flashy freighter on TQ.

Easiest is mining using a Retriever or a Mackinaw, which have a very large ore hold, and docking to unload when full.

If not in your "home" system, then dump your ore in the "top station" (the one closest), and later use a hauler to move the ore.

top station isn't the closest one, top station is the one on top in the right-click menu ;)
