hi there,

I got some signatures (relic/data) scanned down to 100%, but there was no way to warp in or save them as BM!
How is this possible?

I remember in 2013, there were reports of such a bug - now, we are about to leave year 2015 behind...
and this bug happend to me 3 times in 1 hour - I mean come on CCP...

What´s the Problem?

cheers!

Try right-click on red square in the space.

Green bar can be before 100%, it doesn't mean green = 100%

Not sure what you mean. Unless CCP has recently changed the mechanics for scanning, the signature has to be at 100% signal strength for warp in.

Probably somebody completed the site at the same time the 100% signal strength was achieved which could create the issue described in the OP..

Did you by chance switch ships? I know I've switched ships before (in space at a pos, so no docking) and the bar has remained green and 100%, but there is no option to warp or bm the site, you have to scan it down again in that instance.

Thanks for reply so far...

I did not switch ship, left the system or docked. Just floating in space and scanning...
I am sure, Signal was not only green, but 100% - but like I said, no way to warp into the plex, sadly.

Is this kind of a common thing? to me, it seems like a bug

Did you confirm that you had a 3d scan? If you were using only 2 probes or had the probes too close to a 2 dimensional plane, then the scan, while 100% would not have an X,Y,Z coordinate for your ship to warp to. I have had that happen several times and only had to confirm that my probes covered enough separation from each other to give a distinct 3 coordinates for the ship computer.

No, it's not a common thing. I'm sure there's a plausible reason for why it happened.

Guess the main thing to do now is to see if it happens again. If it does, submit a bug report with documentation - screen shot showing the issue - also include other info such as steps taken before the issue happened, type of equipment used, skill level, location, time, date, etc.

That will enable the bug hunters to replicate it which then allows them to fix it. Well, hopefully fix it.

CCP does not normally respond to a bug report unless they need more information, that may not be the best way to handle it but.

Bug reports are handed to a team to investigate and to attempt to reproduce and locate how, why and where they are happening. When they do the information is past to the devs to actually go into the code and remove the bug. so this process takes some time to complete.

The bug hunters and the devs have a lot of work to do so your report was added to the list no doubt using a series of factors to determine how important it is, so it is possible that they have not even started to look into your specific report.

Unless they present a major problem to the game as a whole bug fixes are rarely released when they are completed. Normal procedure has been to have the bug fixes go out as a part of the next scheduled update.
